It's Veganuary, a time to be nice to the animals who were meant to be eaten by us. Well, forget it! It's all about taking care of the residents of Scream Street this time! For all of October last year, our friends from Scream Street have been stolen from their parents, beaten and abused and subjected to a life of cruel torture during the filming of Series 2 of Scream Street. You can help them. Not only can you not watch Series 2 due to its disturbing, unsettling content, but you can also do these five friendly things to help be kind to the residents of Scream Street and any other monster that appears outside this place.
5.Create A Poster To Encourage Others To Watch Series 1 Instead Of Series 2. If you're stuck for inspiration, try taking heed from PETA's controversial billboard campaigns, except instead of celebrities you could use Scream Street characters. Examples of headings include 'CBBC Scalds Monsters To Death', 'Watch Series 1 Like It's 2015' and 'Watching Series 2 Kills: Choose Series 1'.
4.Write A Letter To Either CBBC Or Factory Telling Why Series 1 Is Better Than Series 2. It doesn't just have to be hand-written, emails will do very nicely if you're staying at home. Remember to stay true and honest to whoever you're writing to, and talk about the one thing you hate about Series 2 - don't talk about Dr. F and Six, though, because they're my favourite parts of the second series. Find their contacts by clicking the links.
3.Write A Version Of Takeaway Of Terror Centered Around Going Vegan. Sir Otto Sneer is worried about the amount of people harming animals by eating meat, so he sets up a vegan fast food restaurant to get more people eating healthy. However, his healthy substances turn the residents of Scream Street not into rats, but different animals entirely! You can use chickens, turkeys, cows, fish, sheep, pigs or any other animals in factory farms used for food. Check out the original episode on iPlayer for inspiration.
2.Try Vegan Foods At Your Favourite Restaurants. If you can't make it to the restaurant, you can try a takeaway instead. Click here to find the latest vegan food for this year.
1.Watch Scream Street Series 1 on iPlayer. As well as Scream Street, you can watch other monster-friendly pieces of media, such as Monsters Inc, Big Bad Beetleborgs, Young Dracula, the Tish Tash episode 'Interview With A Monster', Scooby Doo & The Goblin King (as long as it doesn't air on CBBC!) and Scooby Doo & The Ghoul School.
With more and more people trying these five steps, I'm close to getting more and more people watching Series 1 in place of Series 2 of Scream Street. Click here to find some more ways to go Screagan this January:
