My Views On Hardball

That's the entrance music for CBBC's new resident gangster, Mikey!
Like Nowhere Boys, Mustangs FC, Itch and especially Bluey, Hardball originates from Australia because all of its characters come from Australian heritage and go to an Australian school. There's lots of background details you love to see, such as the Australian animal pictures on the walls of the school, the children hanging out in the playground, the words on the whiteboard and the outdoor board such as the school photos and the P&C meeting...WHAT THE HELL IS A P&C MEETING?!
Oooh.

Anyway, Hardball is a mix of Jamie Johnson, Mustangs FC and Snaps, as it follows Mikey as he moves from New Zealand to West Sydney. His aunt, who runs the garage, feeds him gravy on pizza and mucky hummus and acts like he's the centre of abuse, and his friends and rivals always support him - okay, all except the Asian girl who wears glasses. The head teacher is struggling to run the school, and is constantly in love with a football group, and there's this pea-brained IT teacher who sits at his computer all day like I do sometimes. I'd love to work at the Sweet Yummy bakery, because there are lots of good cookies for sale. Oh my god! To me, Hardball is all about gang war and violence. If I were to direct Hardball, it'd be about violence and gangster privilege, with Mikey wearing shades and a black overcoat with guns in his belt, and his aunt would constantly abuse and swear at him. Hardball would be aimed for adults as a result.

Hardball is about being dragged into gangster ownership, so watching Jamie Johnson and Mustangs FC is much better.
