All of CBBC and I were flying on an aeroplane to Australia. We're staying in a hotel with twelve huge pools, wave machines and room service, and I so looked forward to it. CBBC characters I didn't like, like Boy, Girl, Dog, Cat, Mouse and Cheese, weren't coming, thank god. Itch was in the seat behind me, reading a book about the science of plane flight, but when the plane took off, Itch ducked and began to whimper like a coward. Instantly, his friends Lucy and Jack began to laugh at him, making fun of him with this rhyme:
"Once a boy obsessed with science,
Heard the whir of the Nazi planes.
With a squeak of fear, he went into a tunnel,
And waited until it was safe again!"
At once, everyone on board the plane began screaming with laughter and repeating the above chant. The only ones who weren't laughing were the passengers sitting beside me - Luke, Resus and Cleo, my closest friends. Sorry for Itch, we got out of our seats and lead him out of the aisle into the first class section. Relieved, we settled down in our own private suite. While Itch reclined in his comfy seat and watched iPlayer, we had our own private suite - just for Luke, Resus, Cleo and me - where we snuggled in our comfy bed with fluffy pillows, ate chocolates and crisps from the basket, watched CBBC on the massive TV and had flight stewards at our beck and call. It was bliss. It wasn't bliss for some of the CBBC stars on the economy class side of the plane - they felt sick!
Now, let's listen to my favourite story from Horrid Henry: Up, Up & Away, the book that inspired the Dream Productions in my head to create this dream film:
