First Day? First Depression, More Like

CBBC's new show from Australia is depressing as hell! It made me think about all the confusion and tragedy it brought to viewers at home, and adult situations that might be put into the series, such as Hannah holding a gun and drinking juice as if it were beer. If there were a parody series on Youtube, Hannah would be dubbed over with a deep black man's voice similar to Berleezy, a Youtuber who exposes kids' shows like Caillou. But Aussies, if you have seen and have been depressed by the themes and tone of the show, here's something that might cheer you up on ABC iView. In fact, it cheers everyone up, because it is the happiest show in Australia: Bluey!

Dog Loves The Aristocats

Isn't it strange how Dog Loves Art and today's Dog Loves Books episode, Dog Loves Cheshire Cat, remind me of The Aristocats? I like to compare it with Oliver & Company and The Jungle Book if I have the chance.

I Thought This Morning's Boomerang Movie Was Scooby Doo's Arabian Nights, But Here's My Reaction:

"Oh. I forgot. It's on Thursday."

3 Things That Made It The Best Day Ever Yesterday

1.Dog Loves Bedtime Baboon. I love this episode so much, beside Dog Loves Calm and Dog Loves Drawing. Based on classic tales of mythical figures who watch over children as they sleep at night like The Sandman and Bedtime Bear, Dog and Pug try to help a magical baboon with bedtime duties, sprinkling dust on children to help them sleep. I thought up a relative and a friend for Bedtime Baboon as a result - her cousin Matilda, who is the creator of all the world's bedtime stories, and her best friend Edgar Bunny, who is a film director and directs all the childrens' dreams with his ice cream coloured rabbit companions Coco, Strawberry and Vanilla. The lullaby sequence, with camels, penguins, monkeys and children across the world falling asleep, reminds me of 'Once Upon A Time' from Nick Lachey's Fisher-Price album 'A Father's Lullaby'. I want to listen to it right now...plus, bedtime will never be the same again with this episode of Dog Loves Books.
2.Scream Street - Wolfgang. Luke seems like he's spending little time with his friends in this episode of Scream Street, but I don't mind - Luke always knows how to escape a ghost's clutches. Bad news: Little Big Awesome aired after this. I escaped this mess by watching a recorded episode of South Park, and I kept this sound message in my head: Googleberry Muffins! Make Way For Noddy, anyone?
3.Aloha Scooby Doo. It appropriately aired this month, as Summer is approaching. It truly gives you an essence of Summer with its tropic island setting and had me playing Maori and Hawaiian music, giving me a Lilo & Stitch vibe. This film was released the same year as Lilo & Stitch 2: Stitch Has A Glitch - 2005 - so it was highly appropriate for this time, as this month this film aired as part of Boomerang's 'Tom & Jerry & Scooby Doo Summer'. It also gave me inspiration for a few storylines in I.B.F.F Diaries, like in Part 7 of I.B.F.F Diaries '15 when Mitchell, Becky, Templeton, Tiny, Small, me, Scooby, Shaggy, Daphne, Velma, Fred, Ricky, Pickle, Merl and Gull go to the beach and get swept up on a desert island by a giant wave, and in Part 10: Best Halloween Ever when the gang watch the film with Luke, Resus and Cleo and indulge in a musical fantasy, singing 'The Old Hawaiian Way' as they enjoy a tropic island holiday, until Naomi yells and fantasy ends, and the gang need to hide Luke and his friends quickly. This film gave me the same vibes as Dumping Ground Island, but there is a difference: while Aloha Scooby Doo is animated and set on an island where the Mystery Inc gang are having a holiday, Dumping Ground island is a fantasy had by Tyler after everyone in the DG yells at him. I.B.F.F Diaries is a mix of animation and live-action and puppetry, so it's no big deal to an all-age-appeal film from an all-age-appeal director who watches all-age-appeal shows. Scooby-Dooby-Hana!

I.B.F.F Diaries '15: Part 10 - Best Halloween Ever - The Old Hawaiian Way

All this Aloha Scooby Doo business that is happening on Boomerang has given me another story idea for Part 10 of I.B.F.F Diaries '15, named 'Best Halloween Ever'. Don't let the title fool you, it has Summer elements too - on 19/10/15, when the gang watch Aloha Scooby Doo in the screening room, they imagine a real holiday on a tropical island. The gang indulge in a musical fantasy of them, Naomi, Scooby, Shaggy, Fred, Daphne, Velma, Felix, Sam, Jake and Andy all having a Summer holiday together, with me joining in on the fun. From boating, surfing, swimming and relaxing in rubber rings in the sea to scuba diving, ziplining over the jungles of the island and having a nice picnic lunch consisting of sandwiches, fruit, ice cream and lemonade, everything is a blast as we all sing a vibrant cover of 'The Old Hawaiian Way', a song which is featured in the Lilo & Stitch 2 film, until from out of the cabin there comes a muffled, angry voice:
VOICE: Mitchell, what are you doing in there?
MITCHELL: Nothing!
VOICE: Open the door!
The gang continue with the song, until Naomi interrupts and begins shouting at them. At once the gang snap out of their once tropical paradise fantasy and Mitchell quickly encourages his new friends Luke, Resus and Cleo to find their hiding places as Naomi and the gang burst in.

A Summer island fantasy? In a Halloween film? There's something you don't see every day.

Mystic Tales - Wolfblood

NOTE: I'd rather prefer seeing Wolfblood to Mystic because it has that dangerous animal element to it, plus in 2016 it had a red carpet premiere and a Q&A when it was Jana's turn to be the main star.

Tom & Jerry Meet Scooby Doo

Wouldn't it be great if there were a crossover movie with Scooby Doo and Tom & Jerry? We've seen Scooby Doo meet the WWE gang and KISS, and we've seen Tom & Jerry meet Dorothy and Sherlock Holmes, but having these two universes together would be just perfect. I mean, it would have Tom & Jerry teaming up with the Scooby Gang to solve a mystery. Remember Boomerang's Hairy Scary Half Term and October Dooby Doo events? They had competitions where viewers watched Tom, Jerry, Scooby and Shaggy taking a ghost train ride with funny mirrors and pirate treasure, with viewers watching for prizes they could win throughout the half term holiday. That, is an excellent crossover. I wish they could do it again.

Four Spooktacular Things That Cheered Me Up After My Bad Trip Out Yesterday

1.Scream Street - Lovestruck. It was so nice to see Luella again, and making that blog entry about her reuniting with Mildred was an excellent choice. After a break of six months, I guess last night was the night when the witches fly over Golspie - a Halloween themed night! It was also nice to hear the narrator in Danger Mouse say, "London. City of shining architectural wonders - the gherkin! The tennis racket! And the house of cards! But what's that familiar sound? Could it be? And now, the world's twelfth greatest sidekick Penfold, will speak the first beautifully constructed line of the new series!" Something the whole world heard back in September 2015 when Danger Mouse made a triumphant return to British television.
2.Scooby Doo & The Witch's Ghost. This was released the year before I was born (1999), and the animation is well, with cosy colours and dark background pallets. There are some hilarious moments, too, such as when Scooby and Shaggy are confronting the giant turkey and they dress up as pilgrims to cook and eat the turkey for Thanksgiving dinner. 'Cause, you know, Shaggy and Scooby love eating turkey for Thanksgiving, 'cause it's an American tradition that may be Scooby and Shaggy's favourite time of year, alongside Halloween and Easter.
3.Halloweentown. I watched it on Disney+ last night, and it proved to be the best Disney Channel original film ever beside the 2018 version of Freaky Friday (I thought it to be a Disney Channel event, but it was a film all along), Teen Beach Movie, Kim Possible and Good Luck Charlie: The Road Trip Movie. It reminded me so much of Scream Street, and my favourite part was pointing out all the monsters in the background, such as fairies, gremlins, the yeti who runs the ice cream shop, the postman and the policeman, plus the creepy Illuminati symbol on the taxi. I can't imagine the time and effort they put into making this TV film, which was released one year before Scooby Doo & The Witch's Ghost was released. In fact, it's like Disney Channel's very own Scream Street. I wonder if Tommy Donbavand, the writer of Scream Street, saw this film and thought, "Hey, this film could be one of my inspirations for my book series about the adventures of Luke and his friends, besides my thoughts of living in a haunted house." Halloweentown aired in the UK too, you know, I saw this on Disney Channel one Halloween, GET OVER IT, SCREAM STREET FANS!

And finally, the main course (great pun, I said it just in time!)...
To cheer me up after my little blip, Mum ordered an ASDA order, and the reason I put this picture of Brambly Hedge up is because the essential part of this series isn't the beautiful music, dresses, backgrounds and everything, but because of the food they eat! That's why my order, with sausage rolls, pork cocktail sausages and anything that comes to your mind when you watch Brambly Hedge or play the Mr. Men PC CD Rom game Mr. Nosey's Surprise Picnic, comes to your mind. Watch out, here I come!
