Scream Street Thought Of The Day - A Letter From The Underlands

The thing you must know about Doug is although he looks dead, he still looks alive and young and well to me - you can tell by one small detail that he carries around with him a lot: the fact his body parts come clean off. He can throw his head, arms, and legs off at all times, or for comical reasons, his body parts can come in very useful, mainly his arms. His postie job really is a nightmare if you happen to be a zombie, when you try to deliver letter to the residents of the streets, Dig happens to chase you around - the mystery is yet to be solved: who is Dig's real owner. Promotional material and magazines state it's Doug who keeps Dig as a pet, although some recommend it's Cleo and Niles who keep Dig since he visits their pyramid-like house. But who on earth keeps Dig actually? Doug? Cleo? Anyone? In fact we could prefer him as a stray dog who happens to visit the residents from time to time. Doug dresses in tattered clothing as any zombie should, and judging by how he's a zombie, he smells like rotting rubbish. What perfume does he wear? Eau De La Garbage? This is a hilarious excuse for a question, but every CBBC viewer remembers the time when Doug's girlfriend accidentally had body parts swapped? I did a thought on that, and I still won't explain how they make love on the street....yet.

Scream Street Thought Of The Day - Resus Goes Viral [A Conversation With Resus]

ME: You enjoying your hot chocolate, Resus?
RESUS: Yeah. It's just as relaxing as watching Scream Street on CBBC.
ME: If only I did see you first in 2015, then my life would be complete.
RESUS: But you didn't! My only wish was to see you but you weren't bothered at the time. Last year, my wish had come true, and so had Luke's and Cleo's. All of us had that wish to see you and we had to wait three years! Three, whole, years!
ME: Three years? Resus....I'm sorry I ignored you. If I see Luke and Cleo, I should apologise to them too - Scream Street should be the best show on CBBC - apart from Strange Hill High of course. These days, it's airing on weekends. Where will Scream Street be once Boy Girl Dog Cat Mouse Cheese airs in its place?
RESUS: In the Underlands, presumably.
ME: No, Resus, it'll hold a special place in the hearts of autistic CBBC viewers.
RESUS: You really mean it?
ME: Mmm-hmm.
RESUS: You mean Scream Street is really CBBC's first ever show for children with autism?! YES!
[Resus and I hug]
RESUS: Sybil! You shouldn't have! Mitchell had been telling us all about how you saw Strange Hill High, and now for three years we have been asking for you. Our wish has finally come true - we found someone who appreciates us.
ME: And that someone is me.
RESUS: (sobs) I knew it. I knew I'd hear these words. I wish Luke and Cleo were here, then they'd be crying their eyes out too.
ME: There, there. No need to cry. I appreciate why vampires burst into tears, even during moments like this.
[I wipe away Resus' tears]
RESUS: This might be the last week of Scream Street, but at least Luke, Cleo and I will still reign in your heart. And if Scream Street comes back, we'll celebrate the only way we know how - by writing a thank you letter to CBBC.
ME: It's you who should be giving thanks to me.
RESUS: Ha-ha!
[I leap off the sofa and race upstairs. Resus races up after me, and I leap into bed. Resus looks around for me]

ME: Under here!

Scream Street Thought Of The Day - Grampy Vampy

...Fools's Day happens to be the worst day of the year to hang out with your friends, but in Scream Street, Screaming Fools means feeling extremely SICK! Playing pranks on your friends means loads of trouble literally, and I agree with Dr. Skulley. Joking with friends is much better than playing pranks on them. Laughing with friends is such a lot of fun, especially when you're with Luke, Resus and Cleo. Even though Resus is thin and sensitive, he is so sarcastic he makes a great joke or two in a serious situation - you can laugh with Luella, too. WHY AM I ALWAYS INCLUDING LUELLA IN MY THOUGHTS?! Anyway, laughing with three friends from Scream Street means ecstasy and comfort and cheering others up, and hanging out with the kids of Scream Street is so great, even though Luella can laugh so much a spell can emerge from her hands and set your cloak on fire. So do be careful if you're a vampire like Resus. In this episode, Luke and Cleo are having burgers and chips, even though Otto Burger had closed down a few episodes ago, and Resus has a teddy bear that looked like the Sleepy Dream Bear. Wow. What nods. And if Resus or anyone else heads to the Underlands, blood will fly. Literally. Which is really...

...this is Scream Street's last week on CBBC. It's my last week to spend with Luke, Resus and Cleo before they pass away. I'll have a hard time saying goodbye.

Today I received a letter from Mrs. Bannerman, who was on holiday in Florida with her family.
