After managing hunger, I had an upstairs picnic with Siobhan - what a spread! I also saw a penguin having a party.

10th March

I just saw Dog Loves Books - it's like WTF 101 for preschoolers, and today's episode is set in a foggy 18th century London. Spoooooky!

11th March

 

Marie managed to save me from no breakfast before we made a label for my new baking box and made cupcakes.

TOPSY & TIM ON CBBC?! Shocking! Meanwhile, my latest Brora story has given me an idea for a new book series...

Liz Pichon has a notebook for writing stories, just like I do! Also, I think Cheese would be the murderer of her family.

I wonder if wild bears pack salmon for their picnics? We had this week's picnic at the Salmon Place and talked about the coronavirus.

Two New Magical Girl-Themed Titles

• Puri Curi Garden Party - What I'm doing this June in celebration of the Queen's annual garden party, this latest Puri Curi adventure I've thought up features Kyui and Ami and their friends preparing a garden party in honor of Queen Purenheart's annual visit to Puri Curi Place.

• Me, You, And Cardcaptors - Friendship blossoms between Furaha and Kero when she and her sisters stumble upon the world of Cardcaptors. Did you know Cardcaptors aired here on GMTV? I saw it in a video, during a promo for GMTV Kids. Still, in the new story Sakura's always there to help Kero and Furaha in times of need!

In this lullaby from the Me, You, And...lullaby book 'The Bell Spell', Elimu attempts to get her restless family to sleep with Noddy's help by performing a spell on the bell at the end of his hat. Tonight's Hushabye Lullabye is all about Winter, so my response is a warm sleep spell concerning a hat bell and a little nodding man that once was on the BBC before Hushabye Lullabye, bringing Sly's bell spell from Well Done Noddy back for a new generation of sleepy children.

Winter Curi Place

I've already thought of a spinoff of Puri Curi Place, set in a winter wonderland called Kap'Carn'Vu, in a magical, snowy village called Winter Curi Place, home of cute, enchanting beings called Winter Curis, who are kind of like Puri Curis (the creatures who live in Puri Curi Place) but snow-themed and coloured icy blue and white. The stories in the book follow the adventures of a polar bear-like Winter Curi, Yuki, and his best friend, the Arctic fox-like Winter Curi named Kori, and their royal friend from the Snow Castle and guardian of the ancient Ice Crystals, the cat-like Princess Kirameku, on adventures that bring the magic and glitter of Winter to the world, and adventurous warmth into their hearts.

Tiny and Small and their new friends Dog and Pug are sucked into a magic book which allows them to control every story they go into every day. This book can also detect which Dog Loves Books episode is airing, and since today's episode is Dog Loves Snark, the four friends go on a hunt for the Snark through the jungle of a desert island using soap (which Dog thinks is unhealthy for the environment) and a dance called the 'Snark Stomp' which readers at home can join in with - until poor Tiny falls into the river! I'm afraid you'll have to wait until next Tuesday to find out how to use the word 'Nevergogs' in a river emergency.

Another Day With Marie & Tweed

...and her 17 year old daughter, Rebecca! We talked about all my interests and hobbies, including Me, You, And Transformers Cybertron and my newest story Nevergogs, before I made some chocolate cupcakes with Marie. Tweed was trying to steal the show along the way, wanting cuddles and sleeping in his basket, and at one point when we had our cakes, Tweed almost pinched my hot choccy and took an empty cake case! To top it all off, I read and took pictures of Marie's Woman's Weekly cake decorating book and saw a cake Marie baked and decorated for a little boy's birthday. A great baker? She'll be a contestant on the Great British Bake Off next...if she can stand the parodies on the kids' channels.

This time on Me, You, And Transformers Cybertron, Jetfire saves Furaha after a nasty fall into the lake! Poor Thundercracker has got his just desserts meanwhile....

Scouts - Deleted Rap Tidbit

A pretty brutal deleted scene in the first rap in 'Scouts' sees Evan being pushed into a vat of burning oil by an evil chip vendor, and then emerged with torn-up clothing and in a new, horrible and grotesque image. The producers found this too brutal and scary for children, and decide to replace these scenes with images of the students protesting over chips - what's more, a local chip company complained that it was putting kids off eating chips, which was good as they are starting to eat healthier stuff. Another scene in the next rap featured Amber screaming "Oh ****!" at the camera, but the producers also found it too offensive for children's television and cut this raunchy scene out.

Nevergogs: The Adventures Of Tiny, Small, Dog & Pug

I've started to love CBeebies' newest show, Dog Loves Books, and watching an episode of the show, 'Dog Loves Mysteries', gave me an idea to write a spinoff based on the weeks the episodes premiere and the episodes themselves: Nevergogs: The Adventures Of Tiny, Small, Dog & Pug.

Taking place two years after the events of I.B.F.F Diaries '18, Tiny and Small try to get over missing their big kid best friends from CBBC by welcoming two new arrivals to CBeebies, Dog and Pug, during the premiere of one of its newest shows, Dog Loves Books. In their room they have a giant, magical book which allows them to go into any story they wish, with the help of a magic word: the titular word itself, Nevergogs. In this book, you are lead into a new world each day, and whenever you say the word Nevergogs, it means your imagination is put into practice, and you are in charge of the story. During weekend sections, the four main characters experience patterns, colours, lights and other stimulating imagery, and even do a dance to Pizzicato Five's 'Baby Love Child'.

Every time I get the chance to watch Dog Loves Books be it a Tuesday or a Thursday, I'll be able to do the story, with fresh new ideas on Saturdays. Stay tuned!

The Promise Tree [Welcome Home: More Me, You, And...Lullabies]

Since Hushabye Lullabye is airing tonight on CBeebies, I thought I'd treat you to another soothing Me, You, And...lullaby, this one this time is themed around Transformers Cybertron. As their cub friends sleep by the only tree that ever grew on the war-torn planet Cybertron, each of the Autobots makes a solemn promise to each little wonder, telling them their hopes and dreams for them in the future. As they fall asleep beside them, Optimus suddenly arrives and has a hope for both his team and the cubs they protect to claim to Cybertron's 'Promise Tree'.

Dog Loves Tea Parties...

....and trying new things! I've been practicing liking Dog Loves Books with the sound on, because next Tuesday I'm going to see a ripoff of a section of Epcot's Journey Into Imagination, named Dog Loves Drawing, and I'm going to tell all about it in my diary! Also, in Dog Loves Warm, Pug mentions Animal Farm, a book where animals rise up and take over, which might upset Dog Loves Book's target audience. Dog, Loves, EVERYTHING!

Me, You, And...Visits Leeds Castle

Whilst watching Sylvanian Families' 'Dreaming Of Princess' this idea struck into my mind - send Furaha and three of her friends from Ponyville off to a real princess castle! In this story, Furaha and her friends Minty, Wysteria and Spike the dragon visit Leeds Castle in Kent to fulfill Wysteria's princess fantasies - the true name for this, according to Spike, is 'Princess Island'. But when the four get lost in the castle's maze, something has to be done - and fast!
