Shelter From The Storm

The rains have come to the jungle - a heavy downpour which drenches the entire forest in quenching rainwater. Lady Penelope and I seek shelter in an empty dark cave until the rain stops. Being young for my age, I become really scared of the thunder. With Lady Penelope around, I have no need to fear. I snuggle close to her skin, feeling safe and protected as the rain showers on outside. My fear settles slowly and gently, knowing I have a mother who can protect me and love me for what animal I truly am - a human.
