I live in a small, quiet and cosy apartment.
I live with Jeff, his sons, Brains, Alan, Tin Tin and Parker.
My favourite member of the household is Lady Penelope.
We always play together every day.
Lady Penelope and I spend lots of quiet moments together.
However, Scott and his mates like to be brash and boisterous.
They even have the TV on loud.
One night, they were watching footie.
It was very noisy and loud!
I decide to go into Lady Penelope’s room for comfort.
She shares the room with Tin Tin.
When she sees me, she shuts the door and gives me a cuddle.
“Oh, there there,” she smiles, “It’s alright.”
“Scott and his friends have football on. I don’t like football.”
“Don’t worry. I’m here.”
Lady Penelope and I spend the rest of the evening together.
We paint each others’ nails.
We tell each other stories.
Then we proceed to mock their game.
“THE FOOT BONE’S CONNECTED TO THE BALL!” I sing aloud.
Lady Penelope and I laugh loudly.
But Scott and the others are fast asleep.
The TV is also off. The apartment is quiet.
Lady Penelope also shares the room with Brains and Alan.
Tin Tin, Alan and Brains come in.
We’re all in our pyjamas.
We cuddle into bed, exhausted from another fun day.
“Goodnight, everyone.”
“Goodnight, Penelope.”
