"Hey, Parker!" I called out eagerly as Penelope and I stepped into Parker's bedroom. "Parker! Wake up! Today’s the day!"
With a groggy snore, Parker stirred, blinking slowly. "Oh lord, this better be important... Is the mansion on fire?"
"No, Parker, the mansion isn't on fire," Penelope replied with a soft chuckle. "Today’s the day we explore beyond the boundaries of our Supermarionation world. We're venturing into the real world!"
"Yeah, Parker! The real world is waiting for us!" I added, my excitement bubbling over. "It’ll be an adventure!"
"An adventure, you say..." Parker muttered, turning over. "Well, I think I'll just... go back to sleep."
"NOOO!" I shrieked, leaping onto Parker's bed, bouncing up and down like a spring. "Parker, you have to get up! We can’t be late!"
"Come now, Parker," Penelope urged, with her usual poised charm. "We can’t miss this journey. Who knows what wonders we’ll discover out there? It’s the British countryside, after all."
"Please... stop bouncing on my bed," Parker groaned, his voice thick with sleep.
"Why wait?" I squealed, refusing to be deterred. "There’s a whole world out there just waiting for us! It’s a great big beautiful world, and we want to be a part of it!"
Parker opened one eye, then the other, letting out a long sigh as he finally gave in. "A part of it, you say? Well, when you put it that way... I suppose I’m in."
"Yes!" I cheered, bouncing one last time before jumping off the bed.
After Parker got dressed and led us outside, I couldn’t help but ask, "Are we taking Fab 1?"
Parker shook his head with a grin. "Not today, m’lady. Today, we’re going on foot, just like that old American mine incident."
"Oh, lovely," Penelope sighed with a hint of sarcasm as we began our walk down the path. "This should be... fun."
Despite her tone, a soft smile played on her lips, and with each step, the excitement of the unknown drew us further into our adventure.
