In a rural mix of China and Japan, there is a beautiful palace. The owner of the palace, Lord Mushu, keeps having visions of a young lioness cub being brought up in this palace and learning martial arts for....reasons. When he does find a baby lioness cub by his doorstep, he asks one of his faithful students, Orko, to watch over her. The two form an unlikely siblinghood and friendship as the story charts Furaha's journey from curious baby to butt-kicking lioness cub, learning the art of martiality (is that an actual word?) for....reasons. In her life, the ever fun-filled Furaha explores her life in the palace, from a beautiful zen garden and a tranquil blossom tree to a colourful playground and lucious meals of noodles and omurice.

Furaha and her eager, naive master spend every day together, exploring things like the playground and a warmly lit spa, and spending time together in the palace playroom. Mushu has nine students: Hack, Slash, Tenderheart Bear, Jetfire, Timon, Pumbaa, Scooby, Shaggy and of course Orko, his most faithful student, who raised and formed a friendship with young Furaha and taught her the ways of martial art.
