Today was the first day of my new, structured life. On this day, I did a story named Nocturnal Dreams. In this story, Luke, Resus, Cleo and I dream about being nocturnal animals who play in mud, jump in leaf piles, run freely across the forest and take baths in moonlight-drenched, cold water. In this dream, our house is also relocated in the forest, which means we have no phone contact, no electricity and our parents are gone. This sounds shocking, but remember, this is a dream. I also did blog entries, made a YouTube video based on the story and watched videos themed around Eddsworld and the old Milkshake programme Animal Antics. Derek Griffiths does a great job being the narrator of the show, he makes all the animals diverse with their distinctive voices.
The rest of the day was dedicated to drawing, going outside for fresh air and watching Scream Street on iPlayer and Chicken Run on Disney+. In fact, I was so busy I ended up with a swollen head and heavy eyes. Now, I need a good rest and relax in my bed. Also, I forgot to mention that the Eddsworld website has some great comics, like Edd, Tom and Matt chanting for popcorn, Tom firing a cannon when Edd and Matt are in the pool and Tom waking up in a dream world. It's a bit like my stories, except with three boys hanging out...and kicking Zanta pretending to be Tord out of their house one snowy Christmas evening. Isn't life sweet when you're diagnosed with autism?!I tried to stop myself doing a Scream Street Season 2 story...but I was encouraged by Mum to think about it as 'Another Scream Street Story'. So, Sofa So Bad became Sofa So Soft. In this story, Luke, Resus, Cleo, Six and I make up tall tales about the clouds, and what people live there, and how the familiar shapes we see in the clouds are made. With Niles, we jump into the sofa and discover a heavenly world of softness. We bounce up and down on the soft cloudy ground, roll down a cloudy hill, meet some bunnies and teddy bears who harvest orchids and make cloud shapes like we make snowmen, follow a parade of animals which may be inspired by the Teletubbies segment 'The Animal Parade' and the inspiration behind it, presumably Noah's Ark and the nursery rhyme 'The Animals Went In Two By Two', taste marshmallows off a marshmallow tree and get introduced to our own personal softnesses. My favourite scenes of softness are my one of me, Luke, Resus and Cleo having a pillow fight, Luke's personal softness of me, Indy, Chloe and Coco grooming him as a werewolf, complete with a bow and smooth fur and Resus' personal softness of him and Luella having a pillow fight and rolling about in bed grown up. There are even cloud beds which you can fall asleep on. It's a world which is so soft it's hard to escape it. And it's much better than the time Niles brought a sofa from Otto. Our soft and bouncy fantasy world is a place where shape clouds are made.
I later made a script for my story as a stop motion animated short film by Factory. I wrote about it in full detail, you know, sliding down a rainbow, the music that goes with each scene, the fact that rabbits look like Bun Bun from Adult Swim's scary Pibby...speaking of Pibby, curiosity killed the cat, but I don't want to talk about it. I prefer it when Pibby and Bun Bun were in their preschool world, and the cartoon characters consumed by the glitch were in their separate cartoons, just the way they are. The fact that Adult Swim premiered the short the same time as the awful new episodes of Scream Street may be the reason why Halloween of last year is something to hide under your bed with your werewolf, vampire and mummy besties about. The short, since it's released on Halloween, might've seen Pibby and Bun Bun living out their normal preschool ways, deciding between face paints and fancy dress as they decide who to go as for Halloween. This is similar to the 'Tiger Tee' short from Tee & Mo, except I may name this non-adult preschool short 'Pibby & Bun Bun's Halloween'. It is a good thing it teaches children about making choices, especially at a time like this when they're struggling for a perfect Halloween costume. Still, as always, the best part about Halloween 2021 is the essential survival tool for when CBBC and Scream Street both go downhill to the disappointment of the show's Superfangs - the Scream Street Spooktacular Joke Book.During my relaxing time, I just realised that CBBC is declaring nuclear war on Scream Street. They hate the show, and they want to get rid of my friends Luke, Resus and Cleo and all their friends, including Dr F and Six, once and for all. It's a good thing they're killing Lorelei, because she's an ugly, stupid member of Brain Drain who deserves to die, but I'll be the one to save the rest. I'll herd everyone into the shelter while I go full badass and fight Issie and all the other CBBC stars amongst fire and flame, as Scream Street gets destroyed by the nuclear blast. When everyone comes out, they are shocked by what they see. Homes have been destroyed. Those who didn't make it to the shelter in time got burned or had radiation poisoning. Everyone is left homeless. Their show is no more. Evil puppet dog Hacker and his minions from his favourite CBBC shows have destroyed everything they held dear. Luke and Resus are shocked, and Cleo breaks down into tears. I peer out from the wreckage. Everyone is sobbing because of what CBBC has done to their street. Luke, Resus and Cleo have run away to a place where they are moping in peace. I comfort them and reassure them with these words:
"I think you're right to shed a few tears for Scream Street. Everyone believes in many things - fairies, princesses, happily ever afters, heaven and even our beautiful planet earth. But you were right to be friends with me. I did all I could to save your life. Through the many battles I've won and lost, through complaint letters and ritual slaying to petitions and watching the real Scream Street you once called home. But there's one thing you need to know:
Whenever something happens to this very street,
Be strong and keep on your feet."
That's when When The Wind Blows comes in. It's a fantastical look at nuclear war through the eyes of a British couple. The scene with the nuclear blast happening is just what'll happen to Scream Street if I'm not careful, and it chills my heart. Whenever Hilda blows into a dandelion, there are those beautiful sequences of fairies flying among flowers and princesses kissing princes, angels flying and tucking into a banquet, people who died flying up to Heaven, beautiful water with dragonflies, hummingbirds and fish and reflections of Jim, Hilda and our precious planet Earth. There are also educational fantasies, as Jim and Hilda tell us about war and peace through technocolour fantasies that seem to appear out of nowhere. Hilda's second visionary sequence says that we all must care for our planet, no matter how hard the situation, whether nuclear war or rubbish covering the entire planet, and this is exactly how Scream Street will be reborn.
I managed to confront my fears and fix Adult Swim's scary short Pibby, making it into something Cartoonito would make. You see, I went to Charlotte's house and refused to help her tie trees because I wanted to look after Finn. There were flies all around us, but that didn't stop me from enjoying my bacon rolls, but one of the flies landed on my plate and there was a moth on the door! I screamed while I still had bacon rolls in my mouth, but it was gone almost immediately. Charlotte and I kept scolding Finn, telling him not to fall off the tables. He was also lying down in the sun, and was safe with me when Putzell walked in. She wanted her breakfast, and thankfully it wasn't roasted peacock baby! It was cat food. While Charlotte went out to do her project, I looked after Finn. He was making so much noise! Luckily, through the power of oral storytelling, I managed to calm him down. In the story I told my little peacock baby friend, Pibby and Bun Bun are excited for Halloween, but Bun Bun can't decide who or what he would go as this year. The crocodile, ladybird and skunk that appeared in the original Pibby short are given names, too - Croccy Woc, Lady Bug and Sam The Skunk. Croccy's going as a toothbrush because his father is a dentist, Lady Bug's going as Little Red Riding Hood and Sam's going as a fireman. At home, Pibby and Bun Bun try a variety of different costumes, and even use face paints, even with Pibby alluding to the fact that Bun Bun is a rabbit when he chooses this, the dinosaur and the lion. Bun Bun is terrified of tigers, and this story is about how kind Pibby helped him deal with his fear so he can go trick or treating. There really is some learning in this - making choices and facing your fears. This is what Cartoon Network really should've made. I even went out for ice cream, choosing a vanilla tub with two flakes. Yum! I finished my ice cream super quickly and put it in the bin far off. Oh, maybe I forgot to mention - I added in some new kid friendly characters: Pibby's mum and dad, and their grouchy neighbour Grumpy Lion.
In my mind, I think this whole Pibby short is part of a nightmare experiment Adult Swim thought up to inject fear into the hearts of millions of American people. They kidnapped Pibby and Bun Bun while they were still asleep and performed a few cruel tests on them in their William's Street chamber. Pibby screamed and cried for help, but her cries went unanswered. Not even Bun Bun could be heard screaming for help. To make the Pibby short, they injected Pibby in the arm with some black liquid, then laid her on a cold, hard metal table while they put sticky plugs with wires in on her head. They recorded her nightmare, and once she woke up screaming, they put Pibby and Bun Bun in a cold, hard metal room, with no means of escape. Their parents searched frantically for them, but her cries couldn't be heard. The only way I'm to reunite the lost Pibby with her parents is to make the short preschooler-friendly, and that's exactly what I did. Oral storytelling saved the day!You know that scene in When The Wind Blows where Hilda blows into a dandelion, leading to a vision of church windows and angels and the planet earth's reflection in the water? In my mind, I am comforting my friends Luke, Resus, Cleo, Bluey and Bingo near a pond at night and telling them to look up at the moon, then at the water. To our surprise, the moon's reflection turns to that of the earth.
"Mother earth is inside us," I reassure. "Everyone else who I think I might never see again lives inside us too. Nothing, Lindsey, Mike Miligan, Tyler, Sasha, Hetty Feather....everyone we loved will be here to guide us inside ourselves. They live inside all of us.
Hand in hand we stand,
All across the land
We can make this world a better place of which to live
Hand in hand we can
Start to understand
Breaking down two walls that come between us for all time...
Arm in arm.
He lives in me
He watches over
Everything we see
Into the water
Into the truth
In your reflection
He lives in you."
There's also trouble brewing in the Pride Lands too. After Kion's abusive rage and out of control behaviour towards his family, Simba has finally killed him after years of torture behind the scenes of The Lion Guard, but a new threat awaits. Hunters have come to the Pride Lands to find and kill their prey. Kiara is the first to notice. At first, she tries to warn her father, but when a hunter kills a lioness, Kiara, Kovu, Nala and Simba are left to face the foes by themselves. Simba herds Nala, Kovu and Kiara to safety while he fights off the hunters. With his spear, the head hunter scratches Simba down the arm, resulting in a big gash which drips out blood. As Simba tries to return to his family, Nala and the others are huddling in fear as above them, on Pride Rock, three hunters are lifting a giant boulder over them. Their cries for help are muffled by Simba's own cries. For his wife. For his daughter. For the one he might've trusted when he came to settle in the Pride Lands.
In safer terms, those sensual images are starting to roam around in my mind now. Images of a script I've done a few months ago, named 'Sensitive'. It's baby oriented, like those Johnson's Baby adverts you see on TV. It's me as a baby sharing in the softest, gentlest moments with Cleo, Resus and Luke - all without any clothes on. Just the way I like it. Cleo and I would play in the bath, amongst bubbles and cool water (it is Summer after all). We'd splash each other and play with our yellow rubber duck, and scrub ourselves all over with the bubbles. Even though Cleo wears bandages, she always realises when it's time for a bath, and keeps them on even when in water. Resus and I would lie on a soft white bed and snuggle together. Resus isn't wearing any clothes, and I'm not even wearing a nappy. That's good, because it's nice to show skin at this time of year. Resus would tickle my tummy and hold me high above him and nuzzle me like the soft, gentle, not-so-bitey vampire he is. Luke and I would be on the same bed too, Luke also not wearing anything. He would make me slide down his legs and hug his soft, gentle skin and share in the gentlest hugs with him, before we'd both fall asleep in the softness of the bed. That's the joy of having siblings like Luke, Resus and Cleo. They're your best mates, so you can play with them in real life and in your fantasies forever and ever. It'll be a soft, comfortable feeling that you just cannot let go. True skin to skin contact between my baby self and my big brothers means true, tender brotherly love.
As for tomorrow, I'm so looking forward to The Book Of Pooh! Are you? It's here, at last! The Book Of Pooh! I'm rejecting everything that's premiering on Disney+ today: Eureka, Disney Junior Nursery Rhymes and Big Chibi 6 - to see this charming puppet show about Winnie The Pooh and his friends. I pretended, at the start of every story, to be the narrator telling us "Our first story of today is called [name of story]." Pooh and his friends have never looked this charming and simple! It's digitally removed puppeteers controlling the life-like puppets that roam around the CGi Hundred Acre Wood. As with other Winnie The Pooh material, there's heartwarming moments, like duets between Pooh and Piglet about friendship and loyalty. I can read what the text in the titular book says, plus there's surreal song sequences like giant versions of Pooh and his friends dressed in dinosnore costumes and stomping across the wood, footprints appearing on Owl's finely-garnished wall and Pooh having a tea party and dancing with a note, even breaking the fourth wall at one point in time. I knew this day would come - I even shouted Winnie The Pooh's name during one point in the episode 'Biglet'.
When I went out with Ben, we went to the dog beach instead of Portmahomack. I just sat on a bench and ate a hearty picnic lunch of sandwiches, sausage rolls, pork cocktail sausages, a M&M's chocolate bar and a bottle of Diet Coke. At first, Ben wanted to take me to Loch Brora, but I refused and wanted to go to Portmahomack instead. Huge mistake. There was a big traffic jam, and Ben's sayings about not doing anything about it was making me SO ANNOYED!!! Luckily, we went on our way and at Portmahomack, I looked out of the car window and saw a green crocodile floatie. I saw it on TV once, I can't remember. I like the look of the crocodile. If I had a pool, I'd have a crocodile floaties, a unicorn floatie and a flamingo floatie. Oh, and a pizza floatie, like in Christmas Swim.Later, I did a script for Comfort Of The Rains, a fanmade short film about me, Luke, Resus, Cleo and their parents living in the wild on the African plains, enjoying the fall of fresh rain after a long drought. In fact, I had visions of me and Resus sitting naked in the middle of the jungle, sharing a moment of tenderness before hugging each other like a true brother and little sister would. I know, the film contains nudity, but if it aired on CBBC, it'll replace Absolute Genius: Monster Builds, and following that, in celebration of The Book Of Pooh, Ouchtastic will be replaced by the Zenimation short Water Realms, so CBBC viewers will see clips from The Lion King, Brother Bear, Lilo & Stitch, Moana and best of all, that moment when Christopher Robin and Winnie The Pooh go down to the woods together. Two days ago, I decided that Sofa So Soft, my script, would replace Little Big Awesome on CBBC's lineup. Now you know how I hate that show, because it replaced Scream Street just before this stupid pandemic hit. I also found out that CBBC is debuting things which shouldn't be on the channel - Moomins On The Riviera and Pokemon: I Choose You. No! It can't be! Oswaldo and Pokemon: Sun & Moon are on there, and they're too violent and American for a British children's channel. I imagined what would happen if we did. Luke, Resus, Cleo, Six and I would plant a nuclear bomb on Townopolis, and watch from the distance on a cliff as the bomb goes off and all of Townopolis, including Gluko and Lennon, die of burns and radiation poisoning. When we get to the BBC studio and head to the CBBC control room, I tell the board of directors why the grape jelly duo failed to show up. "It's because they needed to attend a big birthday party and had an accident on the way," I say, giggling nervously. We then go to the command console and smash the Little Big Awesome tape to millions of pieces before inserting the Sofa So Soft tape in its place after Dennis & Gnasher Unleashed airs.
I checked the CBeebies schedule, and guess what? CBEEBIES IS AIRING NEW BLUEY EPISODES - IN ORDER, JUST LIKE IN AUSTRALIA!! Here's the list of episodes:Dance Mode
Hammerbarn
Featherwand
Squash
Hairdressers
During this schedule appearance of Moomins, Pokemon and brand new Boy Girl Dog Cat Mouse Cheese, Luke, Resus, Cleo, Bluey, Bingo, Pooh, Piglet, Rabbit, Tigger and I snuck into the CBBC studio with two tapes - one labelled 'Comfort Of The Rains' and one labelled 'Zenimation - Water Realms'. We'd wait until Dr Chris, Dr Xand, Dick and Dom arrived, and we'd lure them into a room with a giant green and blue present, which they step inside. Tigger would press a red button, and BLAM! The present turns out to be a trap! Laughing, we race into the command console room and place the tapes in in place of Absolute Genius: Monster Builds and Ouchtastic. CBBC would have to put it as 'Disney+ Presents: Zenimation' because Disney isn't so kind to those who use them for copyright protection.
Later, we'd go round to Owl's house for dinner - pork cocktail sausages and some hot cocoa. We'd talk with Owl about how our plan worked, and I'd ask him to tell us about his jungle expedition that he was supposed to mention during Eeyore's Valentine dilemma. Owl told us alright, and it was part disturbing. You see, when he was exploring the jungles of Peru, Owl took a rare gem from the inside of a cave, and it caused a huge earthquake that caused mountains to crumble and fall. He ran for his life, but little did he know there was a trap waiting for him. It was set up by Issie and Alisa, the soon to be stars of my most hated CBBC dramas Mystic and Heirs Of The Night. Resus and I are angry at this, but Owl continues on: he fell into a trap set by these two evil CBBC stars, who aimed a gun at his head. Just as they were about to shoot him, a young vampire called Alston rode in on a horse and shot the two girls before freeing him. He offered to take him back to Scream Street, where Eefa healed him using magic ointment. He also happened to see the Teletubbies episode 'Owl Babies' years before he got his acting debut in The Book Of Pooh - he learned from the story Alex Pascall told the children that you don't need to face separation anxiety on your own, you could use the help of friends to face your fears, or whoever moves in next door. When your parents go out shopping or to a fancy dinner, all you need to rely on is a babysitter. And I am one to my friends. They are not who I babysit at all. They are my roommates. Okay, Finn happens to be my favourite person to babysit.
I'm not looking at the Disney+ UK August page online when the new shows for that month come out, instead I'll just stick with the next two big things on Disney+ - Lego Star Wars Summer Vacation and Bluey Season 3. Instead of watching the sing along edition of The Lion King II: Simba's Pride, I'll watch the beginning scene of Dinosaur, where Aladar spends time with his lemur family. In fact, Simba's Pride reminds me of Tarzan and Dinosaur. The real version of Simba's Pride should be Simba misjudging Kiara for how different she is, acting a bit like Kerchak, and then the Pride Lands gets destroyed by a meteor, with Simba, Nala, Kiara, Timon, Pumbaa and Zazu being the only survivors. Rafiki would survive too, and Kovu. I suspect Simba put it on there to avenge the death of Nala, Kiara and Kovu by hunters. I won't watch this sing along if your family died, Simba, I'll just go with the original Lion King movie instead. Asante sana!
