Major Tom is grazing in the field one day when he spots the most beautiful white pony he had ever seen in his life - Mrs Sparklenose. He is so entranced by her presence that she disappears. Major Tom wonders where she has gone, but then she appears right behind him and leads him into the forest, what she calls 'her happy place'. Major Tom explains to Mrs Sparklenose that he had been alone for a long time and will be glad to have someone to accompany him in the field where he grazes. Mrs Sparklenose accepts that and takes him to see the wise elder, John, a unicorn who just so happens to be her father. John anoints them with a magical red cream that helps them ultimately fall in love. They share apples growing on the trees, they swim in a large lily pond and they trot through a field of flowers. At sundown, Major Tom feels far from home and wants to return to his field, but then he hears someone calling for him. It's Calypso! Calypso hugs him and takes him back to his field, inviting Mrs Sparklenose to come along too, with her waving goodbye to John. The two, a few days later, live a happy life together in the field, and have foals which Calypso's students gently pet.
