Peace On Earth With Zenimation

One way to make peace on earth is by watching the most calming show on Disney+ right now: Zenimation. It just approached its second season last June, and we were over the moon. However, as it's Christmas, the article you're about to read is about a few Zenimation shorts that the website Honey Pop has picked. For these shorts, you need to listen to the pieces of music I specifically chose. They include:
  • Flight - Blackwind by Patrick Watson. It really syncs with the scene in the short where Peter Pan and the Darling children are flying over London, from the lyric "It weathers your face and leaves us no trace". My favourite scenes in the short are Cody and Marahute flying over the Australian outback in the freedom of the sky, herons flying over the river in a clip from The Lion King and Aladdin and Abu's dramatic escape from the cave.
  • Cityscapes - Mindfields by Prodigy. The one purpose it syncs well with the short is the scene where the Hopps Family Farm truck is seen driving to Zootopia, and a later clip of the film in the short which proves to be my favourite, where Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde are journeying through Rainforest District, looks of uncertainty and amazement on their faces.
  • Night - Thinking Out Loud by Ed Sheeran. The lyrics match everything that goes on on screen in this short, especially the moment where Belle and the Beast share a romantic moment out on the balcony. There are lots of romantic moments in this short - Aladdin and Jasmine, Tarzan and Jane, Anna and Kristoff, etc.. I have to admit, my favourite moments in the short are the clips from The Lion King, The Aristocats, Chicken Little and the moment where Hercules' image is formed in the stars.
  • Water Realms - The Sea by Morcheeba. The lyrics and music sync with the short because of how well it fits every single clip shown throughout, including the intertwined moments of Elsa crossing the dark sea and Moana restoring the heart of Te Fiti. My favourite moments are the clips from Brother Bear, The Lion King and especially that shocking moment where Christopher Robin and Winnie The Pooh make an appearance.
  • Serenity - To Build A Home by the Cinematic Orchestra and Patrick Watson. Everything, almost EVERYTHING, syncs with the short, the lyrics, the music, everything, especially at the beginning when Belle was wandering out of her cottage and Patrick Watson began singing "There is a house built out of stone...wooden floors, walls and windowsils..." My favourite moments in the short are Hiro and Baymax sharing a hug and flowers falling from a Sakura tree during a clip from Mulan.
Eat your heart out, Dark Side Of The Rainbow!
