My Views On Snaps

I like to think of Snaps as 'ethically diverse' because it features a diverse range of kids telling their own stories through differently-filmed shorts. To Topknot Or Not shows us the meaning of wearing a turban when you're Sikh. Is This Camera On is set entirely in a bedroom and shows a video diary of a black girl's run in with her friend's boyfriend. And of course, Rock Paper Fire is an intense twist on the game of Rock Paper Scissors. But there's one thing you've yet to know that puzzles me, unlike the shorts you'll see next week.....EVERYONE IS DEAD IN THESE SHORTS!!! Where is everyone? Did a virus hit and kill everyone except the main characters? Did they get rid of supporting characters just so they could make them the lead? Yes, it makes sense.

Each short is produced by a different company. To Topknot Or Not is produced by Drummer TV, the same company who made Gym Stars and a few episodes of My Life. Is This Camera On is made by Channel X, who produced So Awkward. I know they made the decision to let different companies produce these shorts, but why bother being yourself to watch these shorts? You're fine with all these books about diversity as it is. Reading is better than Snaps anyway...or ginger snaps...or cheesy snip-snaps. They're the only snaps I'll think about.
