And now, just when you thought there won't be another Christmas adventure for Bluey, here is the big surprise!
It's just the kind of family Christmas-themed episode that'll make you want to shout "Merry Christmas, time to open the presents!" From what I found out by watching the trailer, Bluey and her family will spend Christmas opening their presents, swimming in Uncle Stripe's pool and having a lovely Christmas dinner round the table. Y'know what, Aussies, this is your new Christmas tradition, because the name of the Christmas tradition is Christmas Swim - not Adult Swim, but Bluey! If I were Australian, this would be my new Christmas tradition, and I would write a story based around it.
Speaking of, this Christmas Swim thing has inspired a new 'Hood story named 'The True Meaning Of Familistmas'. In it, Izzy, Trafalgar, Jeremiah, Fury, Gabi, William, Ryan and Amy are invited round to Nana's house to spend Christmas with Bluey and her family. They are curious to know whether people share the same holiday traditions every year, so Bluey tells them about her friends' own traditions, which they share with their families.
I'll do the story November next year, so be on the lookout for it! By the way, if you don't know what 'Familistmas' is, it's a mix of 'Family' and 'Christmas', and I'll be doing a Blueycap - a recap of Bluey in 2020 - in two Tuesdays. Be on the lookout 'til then! Wackadoo!
I love Christmas episodes of favourite characters and seeing them at that time of year and see what they get up to with their families.
