My Support Worker's Memories

My support worker and I shared memories of her childhood - and her daughters' childhoods too. First, we talked about her favourite childhood shows, Bananas In Pyjamas and Button Moon...

I discovered she used to eat lasagna for dinner.
We talked about her daughters' favourite childhood shows, including Teletubbies, which just so happened to be a show I watched when I was little too. We also mentioned her other favourite shows, such as the 1998 adaption of The Worst Witch and Chucklevision, plus The Story Of Tracy Beaker and the Totally Tracy spinoff magazine and series of products. On the way back, I told her about how there would be a Story Of Tracy Beaker spinoff series named Totally Tracy, about Tracy hosting her own talk/variety show straight from the Dumping Ground, with Justine, Louise, Peter, Mike, Jenny, Elaine and Cam serving as her production crew and two women named Sophie and Janice providing how to tutorials for Tracy.

We talked about the 1995 Mr Men series - it seems everyone, including my support worker, loves the Mr Men, and I reminded her about how she once saw the episodes where Mr Worry entered a world where everyone takes it easy as if they've eaten too much Cadbury's Caramel and where Mr Jelly entered a prehistoric era where everyone kept their own dinosaur, ala Pokemon or Digimon.

I also reminded her of when she used to watch Kipper, and the times when Arnold entered a mountain full of bubblegum, ice cream, marshmallows and hot chocolate and when Kipper and Tiger rode a rollercoaster to the moon and encountered a dragon. We also reminisced on when she watched shows like The Suite Life Of Zack & Cody, Tweenies, Fimbles, Angelina Ballerina and Little Bear.

On the way back to my house, we sat to rest for a while on the bench. My support worker didn't see Transformers Armada or Beast Wars but she did see My Little Pony, and wasn't sure about Timon and Pumbaa - their show, not the characters themselves. She also happened to see Boomerang and Disney Channel when she mentioned she and her daughters used to watch things like Looney Tunes, Tom & Jerry, Mickey Mouse and of course Scooby Doo. She even mentioned that Tweed liked eating and walking and that she loved the Teletubbies' comedy routines, including the Tubby Custard Footprint mystery.

I encouraged her to let Tweed, one spoilt brat of a dog, watch Scooby Doo, including my favourite Scooby Doo adventures: Goblin King, Ghoul School, Reluctant Werewolf and Arabian Nights.

We also talked about happy times that are important to my support worker in her childhood, like the time when she got a new bike.
It was also revealed that Tweed had a favourite toy - a flamingo which he took around. My support worker's daughters also had favourite toys - Bratz dolls, and they loved to watch Bratz on CiTV when they were younger.

Another part of Teletubbies my support worker and her daughters love is the Animal Parade, y'know, my favourite magic event, where CG animals march through Teletubbyland. Relating to the parade, we talked about how every animal parade must begin with big cats like the tigers with creatures like lions, and how penguins need to survive in a cold climate, and relating to the butterflies in the parade we talked about the segment in Teletubbies: Animals Big & Small where the Teletubbies chased a white, beautiful CGi butterfly and the Noo-Noo tried very hard to stay still as the butterfly sits on him like his Teletubby friends...but he sneezes and the butterfly flies away!

Another favourite memory for my support worker is when I baked a chocolate cake with her, and that meant she had a chocolate cake during her first birthday party, which was a very happy memory for her. I asked her if she had My Little Pony and Spot The Dog cakes for her other birthday like I used to get birthday cards with the Tweenies on them, and she used to love Spot as well.

Other shows we mentioned my support worker and her daughters like include Pingu, Noddy, Fireman Sam and Postman Pat.

I also asked my support worker to see my blog...but she can't. You're probably wondering why I've edited this, because I now have to avoid lawsuit threats from COPPA, who have recently put up their law on Youtube about putting videos down as Made For Kids or not, but if you mistakenly label your videos, you get a huge fine. Some people have even closed their accounts and gone onto new jobs. Click here to find out more:
