A T T Retro Review: Rocko's Modern Life: The Complete Series

Despite it being rated 12, Rocko is one of the best cartoon series ever released by Nick on DVD these days. Much better than Spongebob!

And I rank this show 10 out of 10 Pasture Puffies.

A T T Retro Review: Stingray With Troy Tempest

Stingray is just as awesome this year as it's always been! My favourite episode on the DVD was 'In Search Of Treasure' - Phones and Oink were so cute together. Although, I prefer Oink with Marina and Phones with his little puppy Bertie.

I rank this DVD a ten out of ten starfishes.

Was a bit weirded out by the Playhouse Disney stories in the book, but still, it goes to show that with Disney, reading can also indeed be magic!

Wow, I didn't know Oliver & Company had a meta reference in its sleepover story. And it directly lead right into a film starring The Aristocats. Can life get any better?

Orko is strong, like King Kong!

He Man is weak, throw him in the creek!

Hi there, I'm Orko! I don't suspect you have seen me on this blog for a very long time, not since last night. Well, every afternoon is tech time for me and Furaha, and tonight might be a good time for me to tell you about how our friend [SWORD SHWING TO AVOID MY REAL NAME] found me and took both me and my new friends, Atlanta and Marina, home!

So first off, she and her support worker stopped off at Tesco to get a special picnic feast to get 8,000 views for her photos of the Highland Charity Shop on Google Maps. Yeah, you heard me, 8,000 views! It was a landmark achievement. When Furaha and I heard that, Furaha cheered as our carer Optimus swung her around over his head, while I magicked up confetti which fell out of nowhere and I blew a noisemaker like it's a trumpet. Anyway, they bought sausage rolls and chicken poppers and Coke and Babybel and a Galaxy Choc Bar.

And guess what else?

A Bluey Fleece Blanket! I bet she's gonna use it in bed tonight, and rub her cheek against it to remember this day. I rub my non-exposable cheeks against Furaha's fur to get me to sleep when I have nightmares of He Man. Talking of which...

When my friend arrived at T T Retro, there were more exciting things! British made TV shows, Walking With Dinosaurs on DVD, Doctor Who and Transformers comics, and guess what else? 2002 Masters Of The Universe comics! You heard me, 2002 Masters Of The Universe comics! This is not a drill, it's for real! And the comic she chose was Power Of Fear, something Mattel did for the 2005 Dream Halloween event for children with AIDS. She was so lucky to have bought both of them, and her Mum agreed she could buy a DVD AND a comic! Believe it or not, this kid's walkin' on air!

Then it's off to the newsagents, and the bad news is: there were kids in there. So they ordered a kids' puzzle magazine, and hot-footed it outta there. They were originally supposed to go to the sweet shop, but there was nowhere - I mean, nowhere at all - to park on a Friday. So they went to Home Bargains, and that was when my friend read about me trying to save He Man, who along with his friends threw racist remarks at me like insult-filled water balloon dodgeballs.

The funny part about this is Stinkor being chased by items that may suggest he needs a bath because of how stinky his bottom is. Bleaurgh! But not only was I her highlight of the comic, the main highlight was the hopeful last few pages, with He Man giving us a Children Living With AIDs message and those auction adverts, plus, an exciting advert for the then-new He Man website. I wish I could go on there...

...AND HIJACK THEM!

SSSSHHHH!

Oh, Furaha. It's you.

FURAHA: *whispers loudly* Of course it's me. And I have something else to tell. My friend slept for two whole hours, until 2:36. And now she's online, typing all this up in our voices.

ORKO: So....you think we're still friends?

FURAHA: Of course we're still friends.

(Both of them hug softly, sighing gently)

He Man's Power Of Fear: A Review

This comic is actually such fun to read!
The part where Scare-Glow makes Stinkor visualise having a bath and running away from it is hilarious, but Orko's role in this battle makes it worth it. Having it support a Halloween event from 2005 for children with AIDS makes it more heartwarming.
Definitely reading again.

A Question For Applejack: What's The Most Beautiful Thing You've Seen On The Trail?

So I went for my annual trail hike across Great Apple Falls with my family. It was not just me who was there - Apple Bloom, Granny and Big Mac were all there too. Apple Bloom had packed her rucksack with too many toys, so I spent the remaining five hours before the bus came to pick us up rummaging through, only taking Applejack's favourite toy, Green Emerald, her teddy, and a few of the amenities we need on our hike.

We arrive at Great Apple just in time, and we begin our hike. Apple Bloom kept getting distracted by lots of small, beautiful things: butterflies, shiny stones, small waterfalls, you name it, she's staring at it like she's a kitten. Granny and Big Mac were occupied, and Granny started leading everyone in a sing song. And let me tell ya: Big Mac is terrible at singing. He would be a horrid contestant on The Voice.

Then it was my turn to be distracted. I heard this roaring noise from far off, and at first I froze in horror, thinking the Manticore Fluttershy tamed had come back to eat us, but when I heard harder, it sounded like falling water. I gallop through the bushes to the source, Apple Bloom hot on my trail like it's a cop show chase scene.

When we emerge onto the other side...

OH MY CELESTIA! My eyes grew as wide as saucers, and Apple Bloom's did too - it was a huge, enormous waterfall pouring out red and green apple juice-scented water, unlike anything I have ever seen before. The sky above was bright yellow, like applesauce, and the cliffs surrounding the falls almost camouflaged me, as they were my colour.

And then, the best part was - my Cutie Mark was etched where the hole was for the water to tumble out, in my honor! The tour guide trotted up to us and said that since we reformed Tirek and his family, the spirits of the Elements Of Harmony are carved in each waterfall on any Ponyville trail.

When we reunited with Big Mac and Granny, all these ponies surrounded us, snapping away with their cameras and rushing around writing with their notebooks. Oh my Celestia, Apple Bloom and I were stars! There were so many interviewers asking questions, it was a bit overwhelming, to say the least.

Everything calmed down a while later when Granny decided we should camp near the falls. After a slap up supper of hayburgers with ketchup and fried eggs, and another campfire sing song - this time, Big Mac's singing was perfect - we all squeezed into our ultra huge apple-shaped tent and snuggled down to sleep.

But the final sight of the night caught my eye: the Cutie Mark shaped etched into the falls began glowing bright red and green, and the water glowed brighter too. What an honor! I couldn't believe it. I ushered my family out of the tent, and it's safe to say they were amazed too.

And just like that, my Cutie Mark began glowing, and my eyes shone a bright gold. It's a true sign that the former princesses of the past are proud of what I've achieved, from defeating Nightmare Moon to when we rounded up all of Equestria to see off, then reform, Cosy Glow and her family.
