Metabee & Friends' Three Things To Watch When Scared

Metabee and his two best friends are here to tell you what shows to watch if you feel scared at night. Right, bots, off you go!

METABEE: When I feel scared, I watch Kipper. Oh, a timeless classic I tell you, no matter what, I always find Kipper really calming and relaxing. No matter what Kipper and his friends do, I always find myself joining in too. It gives me a source of comfort, away from Ikki's torture.
BRASS: I usually love watching the old Barbie films all the way up to 2009. When they aired on YTV back during its 'Weird' era, I would run to the screen and be glued to it. For you see, it's not about consumerism, it's about delighting on who we're all made of, large or small, short or tall.
ROKUSHO: I'll go last. Usually for a brash tall lab experiment like me, I watch hardcore and horrifying things, but too many of that and you're hobnobbled to extinction. So, I hate to say this, but the soothing thing I like to watch is Earth Moods - it may not be from YTV, but slow pans through various places on Earth can soothe me and make me...

CHILL...

The Boobahs On: Consumerism On Kids' TV

HUMBAH: Consumerism. Tell me about it. It just isn't fair that Nick Jr would want to convert from innocent listening and observation skill-encouraging, colourful, gentle shows all the way through to programmes with no learning curve and just advertising.
JUMBAH: Mmmm, yeah, Bro, I don't like how it turned out today.
HUMBAH: Me neither.
JUMBAH: It's just the way kids view TV these days. They look at a show that's just like Paw Patrol, right, and then they see the CGI models are just like toys, so they beg and plead and plead and beg for their parents to get them the toys. And guess what that results in?
HUMBAH: A screaming fit. A horrible, screaming tantrum. And we Boobahs never throw fits - we are just preschool kids with huge eyes and rainbow coloured gumdrop coats, but guess what? We're fitness instructors. No hard stuff, no "MOVE IT"s or whatever, just silent fitness instructors moving and letting kids imitate what we do on a TV screen.
JUMBAH: Awesome. But with more CGI on our screens, on Nick Jr or on Disney Junior, kids are going to become money hungry tycoons. We need to do something!
HUMBAH: Yeah. We must convince those grown ups that there's more to preschool TV than consumerism. It's about listening, observing and imitating. Am I right, guys?
JINGBAH: You got that right, Big Bro.
ZING ZING ZINGBAH: Me too! Hooray!
ZUMBAH: Leave me out. See you later.
HUMBAH: Well, at least we can all pitch in...
ZUMBAH: Not me.

Question Of The Day: Mickey Wants To Know...

Is there any favourite activity or strategy you can do when you're feeling low after a long time being sick, and if so, what is your favourite, and why?

*Donald, Minnie, Daisy and Pluto want to know the question too*

Quote Of The Day: Feeling Sick

The Stingray Crew On...Sickness & Feeling Low

ATLANTA: What seems to be wrong with our friend?
TROY: She's feeling a bit low, which means she's never going to create again.
COMMANDER SHORE: Great Neptune! Then that means...she won't be seeing any of us string puppets again!
PHONES: That's awful!
TROY: Look, even Marina's getting upset. She's never going to see her all time favourite best friend ever again!
*Oink makes his funny noises*
TROY: Well, at least she's got Oink for company.
COMMANDER SHORE: Well, something has to be done. Our Christmas episode aired on Saturday Morning Pictures this morning, which means there will be a light in the darkness that is a feeling of low-light.
TROY/PHONES/ATLANTA: What is the feeling of low light, and what does it mean?
COMMANDER SHORE: Do I have to? Okay, okay, well, according to the residents of Balamory, after you've been sick, your brain goes grey, your creativity moves to Paris for the day and blood will leak out of your eyes.
ATLANTA: *gasps* OH MY GOD! Father, don't you dare say that! There's children reading this!
*Marina vomits out seaweed*
TROY: It's not helping!
*All the Stingray crew scream in terror*

Question Of The Day - 13/2/26

How do you think Parker plays with my toddler self, and what are her cheeky ways of getting Lady Penelope and Sherbet to join in?

Disney's Spooky Halloween

Woodland - A little girl becomes lost in the woods on the way to her Grandma's house, but with the help of a Naruto/Digimon style anime creature, she learns to slow down and appreciate its joys - the only key to finding the way to Grandma's.
The Night Keeps Us Safe - Optimus takes Furaha and Orko for a walk in the night and shows them that there really is nothing to fear about being in the dark of nature.

Quote Of The Day: Optimus On The Dark Night

"So many bad things are happening in our world today...but the night is our mother, gently wrapping us in a cradle of soft, starry blankets and gently crooning us to sleep with the quiet sounds of dimly lit nature. It promises tomorrow, we'll face them together."
- Optimus Prime (Transformers Armada)

Last Night's Bedtime Stories

The Orient Of Nature - In a cold part of nature, Lady Penelope, a wild woman in her prime, gently cares for and comforts my baby self. On our travels, we find pieces of warmth in a cold place on Earth.
Brum's Friends - Brum is shocked when he is told by the BBC that he is forced to grow up for a new, updated version of his show, and he wants to remain the curious 3 year old analogue he always was. Richard, Thomas, Tilly, Tom, Tiny, Sooty, Sweep, Soo, Little Cousin Scampi, Donkey, Twirl and Whirl, he is made to understand what the residents of Big Town told him before: "You are whoever you want to be." - but not with series 3, right?!
