Dear Chiquita,

How’s life after filming of Scooby Doo’s Monster Of Mexico? I’ve been told that you’ve been named this way after the brand of bananas that have a spicy fruit hat lady as its mascot when you were born - still, you’re my favourite character in the entire film, and I heard you set up a gang consisting of different dogs.

Their names, as you told me, are Taco, Burrito, Soggy, Cactus, Koko and Baby. Baby’s just a puppy, but you and your gang are never afraid to show your spice. Breakfast from Taco Bell, scratching itchy patches against cacti and using red chilli aftershave to wash yourself every single day. Ah, can life get any better for you? Although, you must’ve had bad scars and scorched armpits from using that red hot chilli aftershave.

I heard you kept in contact with Lady & The Tramp II star Angel due to shared similarities in design. She and Scamp are married and have pups of their own now - I bet their wedding cake tasted of dog treats and bone meat! Ha ha! But still, you spiced it up at the time with some nice Mexican food, like your friend Scooby taught you to eat. You always know how to spice people’s lives up with excitement!

A Letter About An Abacus

Dear Furaha,

I’ve heard from your carer Optimus Prime that there are five colours on an abacus, all representing your two charges and three of your dearest friends - Furaha, Orko, Josh, Laura and Berto. The yellow beads represent Furaha and her sweetness, kindness and mischief. The red beads represent Orko’s brotherly nature towards his little furry sister. The green beads? You know them, when there’s green, Josh is around - he’s very kind and caring towards Furaha, and makes a good babysitter. The purple beads represent Laura and her kindness and softness towards Orko, and Furaha if she has time. And finally, the blue beads represent Berto, and how he loves to play board games and share Choco Nutties together with Orko, even when they’re fighting over the last one in the supermarket.

Let me tell you something: each bead represents a lovely, gentle story in their lives, whether Josh and Laura are babysitting Furaha and Orko or your two little ones are going on adventures together. Whatever keeps the beads apart from each other keeps you together no matter what. Because these beads are the group of friends that come together and make each other feel happy with what they have.

A Letter About Abandonment

Dear Furaha,

Do you remember the time when you and Orko were left all alone in the rainy streets? You didn’t mind - you were used to the darkness, but were almost blinded by the sunlight during morning time. You had such fun, I trust you, you went into every restaurant to scour for food and played in the basketball courts and playgrounds. Such fun….until you hitched a ride on the back of a truck.

You were enjoying the ride and relaxing with the flow of the truck’s drive, when suddenly one bump in the road and TUMBLE TUMBLE TOO! You landed in the forest. Another place to survive, I presume. You didn’t mind, I know - you climbed trees, jumped in muddy puddles, splashed in the river and rolled down hills. You had a whale of a time, I reckon, you enjoyed fishing and collecting berries for dinner - you had full tummies in no time.

But then, you went onto the beach when the sun went down one evening. It was such a beautiful sight - the sky coloured blue and pink, and you rested on Orko’s lap while he whistled a soft, gentle tune and the sound of the gulls faded away as the sky became pitch black. And then…silence. Take care of yourselves, I love you.

The Replacement

I'm afraid I have some very extremely terrifying news. Yesterday someone on Kaboose asked how old I was, and that sent me into an uncontrollable rage, lashing out at the ones I love and screaming like a banshee whose banana started peeling - and even when I got out of my quiet time, I got even angrier and started crying.

Fortunately, I've deleted Kaboose from the face of the Earth forever, and what have I replaced it with?

Mixboard. For you see, patience has its rewards - going through everything such as getting used to newer He Man and watching live action classics made by Ragdoll has given me a reward. Mixboard - the reward. So, Noddy, what have you got to say to the people out there viewing this post?

"YOU MUST NOT WORRY!"

Because all this time I have been worrying endlessly to my tummy about stories. But now, it doesn't matter. What does now? I think I know - visual image boards, Pinterest and blogging. Anything creative outside of writing. 

So kids, don't you dare go onto any forum or chat app - someone might ask you how old you are, and if they do, delete it forever and forget about it. And if I think about writing stories again, remember:

"YOU MUST NOT WORRY!"

When I Think About Zoubi Doubi

BRUM: See? I told you these cars were my descendants - no CGI involved whatsoever. It's proper entertainment for children, especially since it involves real toy cars in a real forest. It's like my show mixed in with Tarzan! And by the way, I love being a lemur with pillow head fur!

Scale Modelling - I'm Gonna Do It!

Hey! Guess what? Am I going to have a new hairstyle? Ah ah. Am I watching MST3K? Maybe I am. But the news comes from one of my friends on Kaboose, Lunar, and guess what he suggested to me?

He suggested I could try making things! From scale modelling to modelling kits. That's more bloomin' like it, I think it would give me a chance to bring all my worlds to life - and maybe even make little models of my favourite characters. That is, if I can make them according to those so called 'design sheets'.

Oh - and also, I'm going to check out this French series which mixes Brum and Tarzan together. It's called Zoubi Doubi, and features model cars wandering the forest together, looking for mischief to get into. It's much better than the fast-paced, slapstick filled Roary The Racing Car, but if you want to see Brum in a new generation, then Zoubi Doubi is the one for you. Speaking of which....
