Furaha, Orko & Optimus' Guide To A Less Confusing Time With Creator's Block

Furaha, Orko and Optimus have had a lot of letters from Transformers fans telling them that the English dub of Transformers Energon is so awful it can compare to an English-dubbed 4Kids anime. Now, looking at it carefully we can see how this relates to a stern case of creator's block, which I too have had.

Transformers Energon, with its expressionless characters and terrible dubbing, represents the stale mind you get when you force ideas. Apparently those who dubbed the series didn't know what creativity was when they made it, leaving this series to be a pile of smelly Japanese sausages. Now, the Japanese sausages inside your brain can come instead of the bright sparks when you feel down and out with creator's block, and it can feel like you're living in a sick pit. Transformers Energon itself represents the horror that comes from not having anything to write about during creator's block, and it's just as annoying as how awful the actors voice the characters - especially Ironhide, a badly written Autobot boy who always steals the show, primarily due to budget cuts.

Now take a look at 4Kids' shows. Unlike what they did to stuff like Pokemon and One Piece, some of their shows are practically well dubbed and loved by kids, but according to the internet, they are despised by adults. It's not just anime 4Kids deals with, they do hand drawn, stop motion and CGI, as demonstrated when they made Cubix and the 2003 Ninja Turtles show, and when they distributed the classic stop motion Cabbage Patch Kids specials. They're very creative with making adultish kids' anime more kid friendly, now people on the internet are making fun of 4Kids characters being obsessed with food, especially those jelly doughnuts introduced in Pokemon. The hate side of 4Kids represents how wobbly your ideas are, but the good side of it is finally getting a story in your head after waiting this whole time.

According to what Google AI Mode told me, removal of horrid things in the original anime like death and alcohol made the characters act like spoiled toddlers, especially the whole 'Shadow Realm' meme that's been going around because of a certain tank engine. But here's the thing: there's lots of wonderfully-dubbed anime out there, such as Spirited Away and the Funimation dub of Dragon Ball Z, that didn't need to be childish and poor.

Only you can prevent the standards and practices from happening. Standards and practices are what caused your brain to get its block, but by ignoring them entirely and focusing on shows that don't use those two topics (hint: relaxing hobbies), you won't be focused on writing entirely.

And by the way: 4Kids is better than Transformers Energon, ya hear me now?

A Little Miss Guide To Creator's Block

I've had creator's block ever since I turned 19 and left school, and it's been such a tough time for me. Even when we inherited this quiet house after G.M. passed on, and then I went to therapy, it's still difficult to think up ideas due to long periods of creator's block. Luckily, Little Miss Quick, Little Miss Greedy and Little Miss Curious have their own ways of dealing with creator's block. But how, in fact, do you deal with creator's block Little Miss style? Let's hear from our three Little Misses right now.

Little Miss Greedy once had tummy ache because she ate too many savoury meat snacks from ASDA. This means that forcing too many ideas can cause your brain to stop working and thinking up bright new ideas. However, from this experience, she learnt to only eat three, which means you can do three brain-boosting things to get you through this difficult period. Say for example if Little Miss Greedy inherited three sausage rolls. These are the three things you're going to do today, so, instead of eating them all, Little Miss Greedy's going to use that experience to go for a run in the park, race against Mr Rush and then have a long talk with Little Miss Chatterbox. See? These things can help you through, even when you have a full tummy.

Little Miss Quick has been forcing ideas through her writing, and now she's become frazzled and depressed. Careless she may be, she learnt to take things slowly. With advice from Mr Strong, she watched people like Mr Slow, Mr Quiet, Little Miss Shy and Mr Calm do things at their own pace, which inspired her to do the same. For when you're around people who live at a slow pace instead of a fast one, you relax much better and easier, and that way, once you've gotten through this period, ideas will come in a snap.

Little Miss Curious kept asking the same question over and over - what am I going to do if I can't think up ideas? However, after a few days she got bored with it and turned to other subjects. She even invented a game for herself, where she thought about what her favourite characters would do in a situation where her brain produced uninspired ideas. Think of this as a day off for your story characters - just by doing some research until your inspiration comes back, you have finally mustered up the courage to write again.

So, what we've learnt from those three Little Misses are:
  • Only do three, from Little Miss Greedy
  • Be around slow people, from Little Miss Quick
  • Think to yourself about what other people would do, from Little Miss Curious
That really is the end of the blog post, except, that if you really want your creativity to come back, you know exactly what to do, don't you?

LITTLE MISS CURIOUS: Of course! Obey all the advice written down here!

Little Miss Wise Says...

I think your intake of pills have made you feel tired due to all the time cooped inside. Try standing outside and breathing in the lovely fresh air - that way, you won't feel tired about anything. But I understand too that your body sometimes needs a rest, and as Dr Makeyouwell said, giving your body a rest gives you energy for the rest of the day.

A Forest Walk Affirmation

Forcing ideas is so painful it gives me headaches and makes my throat tighten. I must learn to treat it like a friend and not a slave, and let it walk beside me like a friend too - the ideas aren't just my stories, they're my guides. I will see my life through my idea's eyes as they will see it through mine. And yet, others will see my life through their eyes too.

An Affirmation For Little Miss Wise

I don't live a life of cruelty and danger. I don't live a life where I'm forced to do a ton of things at once. I don't live in a harsh, unstable environment. I'm taking a leaf out of Little Miss Wise's book. If she is looked after as well as her baby, then I'm looked after as well.

A Poem About Mother Hen

Mother Hen's as kind as corn,
The kindest you will see.
When you hear her cluck out loud,
You'll know there's a baby!

A Poem About Food

My tummy's really bulging
Because of too much food
I also have a headache
Which puts me in a sleepy mood.

A Message From The Mouse

Listen, everyone, I know you're all angry about Disney+'s new AI feature, but to me, that actually sounds beneficial. According to a National Autistic Society article, it can help us autistic people to become social and more creative.

And with Disney+'s new AI feature, I can show Disney what for! Say for instance you want to make a film about a sheep and a wolf who become friends without having to use the horrible CGI that Disney uses - all I have to do is type in 'Make a traditionally hand drawn Disney film titled 'Woolly & Fang'' and viola! Here it is.

So Disney, if you're reading this, please please PLEASE tell your fans it's not about the money, it's about one thing and one thing only....

A Poem About Lily & Rosa's Scrapbook (For CraftyTomato)

When memories are made with friends
Like a trip to the Winter Fair,
Making a scrapbook is a cosy idea
And then they will always be there.

A Poem About Ocean Torture

Marina is tied up and tortured,
But it was all a bad dream
For deep in the peaceful ocean,
No one can hear Titan scream!

Operation: Dirty Laundry

Ever think dumping the laundry into the bathroom is a bit of a bore? Not anymore!

Cleaning is go! (And fun too!)

Next time you are tasked with something as boring as cleaning out the laundry and dumping it into the bath or into the washing machine or tumbledryer, pretend it's an International Rescue mission. You are part of the team, and you, Brains, Alan and Tin Tin are tasked with cleaning out three piles of dirty laundry: these belong to three characters. The Hood, Virgil and Scott.

Now don't tell anyone, but some of Scott's laundry includes his stinky and wet underwear. Virgil has the same amount of laundry too - and The Hood? Well living in the jungle for his whole life meant his clothes smell terrible! Yuck! However, with a lot of effort and hard work, we can use Thunderbird 3 to dump all the clothes into the wasteland we call the bathroom so that all the washerwomen can do their work on them.

High five yourself for doing that mission, but when turning it into a Thunderbirds adventure....

Wait for it....

Anything can happen in the next half hour!

A Little Bit Of Cinnamoroll...

Morning, everyone!

Recently I saw a video about Cinamoroll, Sanrio's cutest character besides Hello Kitty and Pompompurin, having his morning routine, and it's the cutest one yet! He washed his face, then brushed his teeth, and then went downstairs to the kitchen to cook himself some breakfast. So, I'm going to take a leaf out of this little guy's book and have my own morning routine, which I call a 'Cinnamoroutine'. You can try it too yourself, it's easy!

First, when you get up in the morning, it's important to understand how itchy facial spots can get, especially when it comes to acne you got as a teenager, so, wash your face very carefully with a washcloth or a shower flower. It gets rid of all those annoying histamine bugs underneath your skin and makes it smoother and less itchy.

Next, it's really important that you brush your teeth. According to one video I saw, if you don't brush and floss your teeth every day, a strange substance on your teeth combines with sugar from your food and can cause cavities, so a nice, long brush, even brushing the gums, can do your dirty teeth from a long night the world of good.

Next, go into the kitchen and prepare yourself a nourishing breakfast. Now I may like Bluey Cereal as my own personal favourite, because the biscuits taste of vanilla and they go great with milk, especially after H took me out to get this and a Bluey advent calendar. But, the most important and nutritious part of all breakfasts you can have is something exciting - like cheeseburgers, sausage rolls, pork cocktail sausages and chicken bites.

I'm sticking to that routine from now on, and you should be too!

Oh, and it also applies to bedtime too - except, you can still wash your face and brush your teeth, but instead of a large, filling meal, have a gentle, warm mug of camomile tea. That's what Cinamoroll should tell you if you were to get sleep advice from him.

So, no need to wake up to a rooster crowing. Wake up to the sound of your own instincts and do it like Cinamoroll!
