Orko's Birthday

“What a perfect day for my birthday,” Orko said proudly to himself as he floated all the way to the kitchen table carrying a beautiful chocolate cake with pink icing. It was nearly 12 O’Clock, and Orko couldn’t wait for his friends to come and wish him a happy birthday. He carefully placed his cake on the table and sat down to wait for a knock at the door. He waited…and waited…and waited. Unfortunately, nobody came. Orko felt his tummy rumble. To a Trollan, a tummy rumbling sounds like a lion roaring. “Oh, well, maybe they must be attending another party,” he said to himself, as he took a chunk of chocolate cake and ate it all up. At 2 O’Clock, nobody came still. Orko relaxed on the chair in the silence of the room and said, “Maybe they’ve gone off to the beauty parlour, or Cheesy Unicorn, or somewhere.” He took the cherry from the top of the cake and swallowed it down. Then he took two chunks of cake and ate them as well. Icing got all over his cloak, but he didn’t mind. At 5 O’Clock, Orko became really sad. Not only had he eaten the entire cake, but none of his friends could come to his party like he told them to. Then he heard his sister Furaha calling. “Orko! Orko! Orko!” she cried, “I just got a letter from Tommy Oliver, he says he knows why everyone can’t come to your party this year!” Orko opened the bright red envelope and began to read Tommy’s letter:

“Dear Orko,

I’m sorry your friends couldn’t make it to the party today. They were busy with other stuff. In the meantime, why don’t you celebrate at home with your sister? Family are the friends you would celebrate your birthday with.

Love,

Tommy Oliver.”

“So it may seem like a perfect day after all.” laughed Orko. But then, he remembered he had eaten all the cake. “Don’t worry,” said Furaha, “I’ve got something extra special.” She and Orko ran to the cupboard. Orko helped Furaha to open it, and his yellow eyes sparkled! There on a tray were about 11 rainbow coloured cupcakes that Ua baked. “I just thought we could share it together,” said Furaha innocently. “What are we waiting for? Let the party begin!” cheered Orko.

Furaha and Orko spent the rest of the evening talking about birthday related stuff and eating rainbow cupcakes together. It really was a perfect day for Orko’s birthday.

This goes to her older brother Orko, who always takes care of her whether it's playtime, naptime, mealtime or bathtime. This vignette sees Orko take all these parts of a baby and toddler's day with ease, especially with his sister around.

I thought this up just as Mum cancelled today's swimming session at the Puffin Pool. In this vignette, Furaha is excited to go swimming with the Lost Galaxy rangers, until she wakes up with a sore head and a cough. Orko and her parents try their best to cheer her up and understand the importance of staying home when sick.

8.Orko Discovers A New World

In this vignette, Orko is playing catch with Furaha and her new frisbee, when all of sudden Furaha throws it behind a bush. While going to get it, Orko falls down a hole and stumbles upon a marvellous natural world - something mankind has never uncovered before. It's quite similar to the Mr Men episode 'Mr Worry & The Giant', don't you think?

7.Hibernation

We know all animals hibernate for the Winter - but what about lions? NO THEY DON'T!!! You want a vignette who wants to-

Sorry. You need a vignette which shows a One Snowy Night style story about a duo of friends inviting soft toy animals into their bed one Winter's night. In this story, Orko and Furaha are tucked up in bed for the Winter when all of a sudden, Furaha realises their toys need to be tucked up too. So inviting them into bed is a good idea, especially if you're a kind little Trollan wizard.

6.Mother Nature

This is a sweet little vignette about exploring the wonders of nature where you least expect it, through the eyes of our friends Furaha and Orko as they explore a meadow, discovering all of Mother Nature's wonders. Sweet, really, nothing much to say for a simple vignette.

5.Under The Weather

Let's face it: I've had storm headaches one too many times in the last couple of years, especially with what Mum calls to the cats previously 'Boombangabangs'. In this vignette, Furaha refuses to get out of bed because of a sore head and a sad attitude. Orko and the rest of the family try to cheer her up with different things, including her favourite pink liquid medicine, but all that Furaha needs to heal is a nice family group hug.

4.Shelter From The Storm

This comfortable vignette sees Furaha and Orko lie outside in the sunshine looking up at the beautiful blue sky, with lots of fluffy clouds...until the sky darkens and it starts to rain. Quickly, our friends take shelter in a cave, where they talk about where the white clouds go when the dark clouds roll in. Orko produces a feast for the friends to enjoy, and they snuggle down to sleep just as the sun goes down. Sorry to deliver spoilers.

3.Every Day's A Holiday: Winnie's Birthday Countdown

This is becoming my new favourite picture book of all time - especially with colourful illustrations, soft colour pallets and my favourite pictures - Winnie in her dad's office and saluting fallen soldiers during Memorial Day. A true American patriarchy! Sorry Disney.

2.Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers

I'm glad the original and best Power Rangers series is on Netflix, and despite all the misunderstandings I had before I had my headache and cough, I really enjoy the debut of the teens with attitude - not the attitude I had when I was a non-smoking, non-drug-hyped teen myself.

It's Hugging Day - Furaha's favourite day in the whole wide world! Besides Cuddle Up Day. She plans to celebrate with Optimus and Orko by playing tag, then Orko and Optimus are free to suggest their own ideas, from relaxing on the sofa to spending time in nature. This is seriously one way to spend Hugging Day, even when Blue's Room predicted the holiday before.

Not Winnie The Pooh, but a different Winnie - a human little girl - celebrates every day of the year until her birthday comes up. From rarely known days like Popcorn Day and Cheese Lover's Day to Kick Butt Day and Take Your Child To Work Day, there's a day for everything! Plus, it's getting to be one of my new favourite picture books - besides Kipper of course.

9.Tater Tot Day

Ah, tater tots. The perfect combo with pizza, burritos or any other savoury food. I haven't tried them yet, but I think it would be perfect with my next Pizza Hut order - if my diet can allow me.

8.My Bad Night

I didn't sleep a wink last night. I tried absolutely everything - I even thought up a new idea - but everything didn't work its spell on me until I crashed out at four. Luckily, I woke this morning at 6:38AM and everything was fine. Mum said it was because I was excited to meet the new support worker!

You know those Natural Confectionary Company 'Guzzle Puzzle' adverts where a helpline tells two pieces of gum to marry each other? Yeah, that's innuendo right there, well, Bubble Gum Day is a time of day when everyone blows the biggest bubble with the sweetest candy in the history of the universe. Even I'm starting to feel like Winnie now.

6.Wear Red Day

If there were a Wear Red Day for the One Stop Shop, I'm up for it. I've already got a red hoodie, so it would be exciting if everyone else wears red too. But remember, everyone who has autism likes different ways to wear things, and some of the clothes might be too itchy for them to wear, so they prefer more comfortable clothes, like me with my black hoodie for instance.

5.Heavenly Hash Day

Who wants Heavenly Hash? Haven't tried that one either, but if my awesome baker support worker baked all this gooey chewy choco-ooey goodness, then it'll be right on the menu any day.

4.2002-Nami Day

This is a day I made up to celebrate the weekday lineup of Toonami in 2002, featuring Dragon Ball, Dragon Ball Z, He Man and Transformers Armada. It's also a celebration of two of my favourite characters on the lineup - Orko and Optimus Prime. Orko is from the 2002 He Man series, and Optimus Prime is from Transformers Armada - EVEN THOUGH ALEXIS TENDS TO SPOIL IT WITH CLOSE UPS OF HER HOPEFUL LOOK! GGRRRAAAAAGGGH!!

3.Self

Self is the tale of a stop motion wooden doll who strives to fit in with a CGI glass community full of deaf people. Well, Disney, animations featuring diverse people are much better than lazy live action remakes featuring, according to Mr Eric Cartman, "Diverse women complaining about the patriarchy". So now you guys know what it really means to be black, deaf and British, right?

2.Break From Netflix

I was meant to say this in a separate blog post, but I'm really sorry, but I think my Orion & The Dark lineup has to be put on hold due to my bad night. No confronting the dark, no Mighty Morphin' moves, no Fun Land Farms, no environmentally friendly Bigfoot and no Chicken Little-style family dynamics until I've totally recovered. Speaking of...

1.Chicken Little

I was meant to say earlier that The Willoughbys is Netflix's very own Chicken Little, because its slow paced animation is nothing compared to the fast paced CGI animation that Chicken Little had to offer. Sure, there are a lot of exciting moments in the film like Abby Mallard and Runt singing Spice Girls during a slumber party - okay, Abby, imagine what it would be like if you were British.

"Who, me?! No no no, I'd rather be off being American, thank you very much."

Furaha, Orko & Optimus Celebrate Hugging Day

One day, in the house big enough even to fit an Autobot, Furaha woke up first in the giant bed that she, Orko and Optimus slept in and approached the calendar. It was January, and it was the exact day she’d been waiting for - Hugging Day! She got so excited she rushed up to Optimus and Orko and threw off the bedclothes. “Orko! Optimus! Wake up! It’s Hugging Day! My favourite day of the year!” she squealed. Orko gave Furaha the first hug of the day, then Optimus swooped them up in his arms and gave them an Autobot sized cuddle which thankfully didn’t squish them. He laughed so much he fell over onto the bed as Furaha and Orko tickled him.

After breakfast (don’t worry, Optimus took his faceplate off during the meal and then put it back on when it was over), Optimus gathered Furaha and Orko in the living room, onto the enormous sofa that the three liked to sit down on. “Since it’s Hugging Day,”, he explained, “Each of us would have our own suggestions for the day - one for each one of us. Furaha, you go first. Orko, you’re next, and I’ll go last. So, Furaha, what do you recommend we do first this Hugging Day?” Furaha thought for a moment, then spoke up. “Let’s play a game of tag!” “Well suggested, Furaha, that’s the exact game to play for Hugging Day.” explained Optimus.

So as a result, Furaha got chased by Orko and Optimus around the house. Her squeals of laughter echoed through the house as her friends chased after her. She hid in the huge bed, and waited in anticipation for Optimus and Orko to come and get her. She could hear Optimus’ giant footsteps going up the stairs, and she giggled in impatience. When Optimus and Orko entered, Furaha screamed as Optimus grabbed her and tickled her tummy. Orko tickled her too. “Hey! No! Stop! Help!” she cried. Luckily, it stopped, and the three were laughing away like there’s no tomorrow.

Once everyone had calmed down, Optimus said, “Okay, Orko, it’s your go. But something less hyperactive this time. For Hugging Day, we need something chilled and sensible.” Orko thought for a minute while Furaha struggled to contain her laughter. “I know,” said Orko, “How about we all relax on the sofa together?” Furaha swallowed to contain her laughter. “With giant pillows and cushions - and our duvet!” she added in.

That’s exactly what they did. They gathered every pillow, cushion and duvet from around the house and placed them onto the sofa. Then Optimus climbed on and snuggled down beside Furaha and Orko, who were already starting to feel really comfortable. “This does feel like a hug,” she sighed. “A nice, blanketed, soft hug. Even softer than my fur!” At the mention of ‘fur’, Orko began stroking Furaha. She purred loudly. “Furaha’s such a cute cub,” sighed Orko. “Of course she is, which is why Hugging Day is her favourite National Holiday.” “Don’t forget Cuddle Up Day!” said Furaha, “It’s my second favourite time of the year.” “Yeah, in fact this moment makes it seem like Cuddle Up Day has come round earlier than expected.” agreed Optimus. “Do you think Care Bears give hugs too?” Optimus chuckled. “You already know that,” he laughed. “Nobody speaks a word about the Care Bear Cousins these days. Where are they now?” “I know where they’ve been,” said Orko, “Caring Hearts Villa - a place for retired Care Bears.” “You mean all the Care Bears stay there when they’ve stopped caring for people?” asked Furaha in surprise. “Yeah, and there’s a day dedicated to them - Share Your Care Day. It’s when people do things to please Share Bear and all the other Care Bears.” “You know, Orko, I feel like you’ve become a Care Trollan yourself, what with your knowledge of looking after babies and that.” “I know. I’m an expert.” said Orko sarcastically.

When it was Optimus’ turn, he suggested they all go outside for some fresh air. So this is what they did - they walked together out of the huge, enormous front door, and when Furaha and Orko’s legs got tired, Optimus gave them a ride on his shoulders. On the way to their favourite forest, the trio took a moment to roll down their favourite huge hill, and when they reached the bottom, they laughed in joy. At last, they reached the watery part of the forest. The sun was shining. Wild birds sung their ancient songs in the shadows. The water glistened and sparkled in the sunshine. Optimus lay down in the water and relaxed while Furaha and Orko splashed each other, laughing in happiness. They did lots of other things too: they skimmed stones across the water. Furaha and Orko leapt over the waterfall to see who can be the best at diving in - though Orko didn’t have legs and floated so he splashed Furaha instead. They covered themselves in mud and made mud facials - something really weird for an Autobot to do.

After all that muddy fun, the sun was just starting to set. Optimus, Orko and Furaha lay by a tree, feeling very exhausted. “What a great Hugging Day,” sighed Furaha, her fur bedraggled and covered in dirt. Orko had mud on his cloak too. “We should do this more often.” “Wait until next year,” Optimus said gently, “By the way, every day is Hugging Day when I’m with you two.” Furaha and Orko were yawning as Optimus gathered them in his arms for a gentle hug - just what they deserved.

When they got home, Optimus treated the tired Furaha and Orko to a nice warm bubbly bath which got rid of all the dirt - even from Orko’s cloak - in their big, enormous fit-for-three bath. Then once they were dry, they chilled out by the fire in the living room before putting the fire out with a jug of water and heading upstairs to bed, another day done for them.

Who knows, it might be Hugging Day the next day…or next, it might be Cuddle Up Day. You never know, but Hugging Day doesn’t just happen in one day…

10.Wish Dragon

Just like Chickenhare, Wish Dragon is going directly on my B List, mainly because of its similarities to Pixar's film, Coco. Moving on!

9.Coco

This charming Pixar film about a Latin American boy who tries to restore music to his family despite his grumpy Abuela's protests is like a Mexican Scream Street. Speaking of Scream Street, come to think of it, CBBC is airing shows from BBC One and CBeebies now, making it an American channel for families instead of older kids. And CBeebies is aiming for parents, so...DARN!

8.The Willoughbys

With its clunky, slow paced CGI and appearances of a blue cat every now and then, this film tells the story of a group of children who plot to get rid of their parents, who don't have enough time for them. I feel you, guys, my mum spends time looking after Grandma all the time and she doesn't have enough time for me, but still, we chat on GChat, and as for me, now I've found plenty of things to do, such as...write stories! Obvs.

7.My Little Present

A snowy story set in the middle of a snowy wasteland, in a small log cabin. You're probably thinking, "My Little Pony?" No, not that, it's an entirely different story. Orko lives all alone in the middle of a snowy wasteland, in this cosy little log cabin, but he feels a bit lonely. On the day of his birthday, he recieves...the Sword Of Power? NO! I was meant to say he recieves a gift from his uncle, a baby lioness cub named Furaha. As Orko watches her grow up into a healthy cub, she develops a strong bond with her new brother and plays with him inside, or outside. The love between a brother and his sister never dies.

6.Time For A Nap

A short, sweet vignette which follows Orko as he and his baby sister Furaha come in from a day on the beach looking very tired, and go for a nap. With Orko not wearing his uncomfortable, heavy medallion anymore, Furaha is free to crawl onto Orko's back and snuggle into the velvety smoothness of his cloak. Sweet.

5.Orko's Birthday

Remember when Orko celebrated his birthday back in the 1980's He Man series? The 2002 incarnation never celebrated his birthday, but here he does. He sits in the kitchen in front of his beautifully baked cake waiting for someone to turn up. Out of impatience, he eats the cake bit by bit until Furaha shows up, feels his pain and surprises him with a slew of birthday cupcakes for them to share. How lovely - and a perfect way to celebrate the birthday of a character who never had celebrated it, not even in the 2002 He Man series.

4.The Comfiest Clouds

Imagine what it would be like to sleep on snuggly soft clouds, way up into the sky. Now imagine what it would be like to bounce on them! Furaha and Orko do just that and bounce, mould clouds into shapes and feel the silky softness of the clouds they are standing on. Heaven! They also sleep on them too...just the sort of obvious thing to happen when you end up on the fluffiest clouds.

3.The Pool Boy

I remember when I watched the Bluey episode 'Camping' and Bluey befriended a black French dog called Jean-Luc. The two formed a special friendship, then he left, and years later Bluey met up with him again as a teenager. In this sunny story set at a Spanish villa, Furaha and her friend Minty are staying there for a holiday, and decide to go to the pool for a swim. While there, Furaha meets up with Orko, who dubs himself here 'The Pool Boy' because he looks after it for the manager, and the two form a friendship. I may or may not be going to the Puffin Pool tomorrow, I dunno.

2.Latin Dreamland

This soothing CD, alongside African Yoga, has to be my favourite Putumayo World Music CD of all time. It's mainly how the music sounds, feels and looks - if you can see it. My favourite songs on the album are the last four tracks, because they bring a sense of emotion into your soul and heart, as if you can hear your heart sing in time to the music. Latin American culture has never been this heartwarming.

1.Cub Pile!

At last, I've finally decided to make Furaha's forgotten siblings a part of the 'franchise' at last. Their names are Upendi, Nakona, Lanka, Allie and Wing as long as you remember - and to think, I named Upendi after that earworm inducing song from The Lion King II and Lanka after a state in Asia! In this story, these cubs come to stay with Furaha and Orko, and while baby Wing plays with his aeroplane in the living room, the cubs and Orko play tag in the living room and end up in a big purry pile on Furaha and Orko's bed. Family visits have never been this wild and crazy!

Orko & The Crybaby Cub

Orko woke first thing in the morning to the sound of his baby sister Furaha crying. He stretched, rubbed his yellow Trollan eyes and floated in a wobbly way out of bed towards Furaha’s cot. When he had managed to wake up a little, he peered over the cot to see Furaha crying. Furaha looked up at her caretaker and smiled at him. Orko produced a purple and red rattle from his sleeve and shook it gently. How baby Furaha laughed! Orko placed the rattle in the cot and picked up his little sister. “Aaawwww, who’s a cuddly little baby?” he smiled under his shadowed face as he tickled and snuggled his baby sister. “Come on, let’s go downstairs and get you some nice, warm milk.”

And they did. As Orko fed Furaha her bovine-produced breakfast of the morning, he said things like, “Does baby want her bottle?” and “Aaaawwww, you must be hungry after a long, long night.” No sooner had Furaha finished her bottle that she started hiccuping. Orko knew exactly what to do. His experiences of working in a nursery back on Trolla had given him enough chances so he can thump baby Furaha on her back to bring up her wind. BUUURRRRP! Orko waved his hand in front of his shadowed face. “Phew! Your burps are even smellier than a hippo’s!” he laughed. “Just kidding, they’re adorable little burps.”

After breakfast, Orko sat down on the sofa and relaxed with Furaha in his arms. As Kiburi and Ua spent their time doing all the housework - ‘cause that’s what lion parents do - Orko was only too happy to cuddle Furaha like a father does to his baby. “You’re the most beautiful baby in the whole world - almost like a cuddle in lion form,” explained Orko to his sister, “You’re what a cuddle looks like, what with your soft fur and your pretty little face and everything. You’re really snuggly too, like an extra blanket covered a cat and it resulted in you. Almost like Kiburi and Ua have made you with their bare paws! As if babies come from the womb indeed - all babies were made with craftwork and craftsmanship and craftology and craftetica and other stuff like that.” Holding baby Furaha under his arm, he let his sister take hold of one of his bony fingers. “Aaaaawww,” sighed Orko softly, “It’s a snuggly little paw.” He giggled a little. “And a bit tickly too!” Then while she giggled with her brother, Furaha lifted up one of her hind paws in front of Orko’s face. “You have nice little feet. Mind if I tickle them?” Furaha was happy to let him tickle her, and he did. “Coochie-coochie-coochie-coochie-coo!” he cooed, “Aaaaawwww, who’s a nice little baby cub?!” Baby Furaha laughed hysterically with her brother, who hugged her so tight he fell over onto the sofa and was out of breath by the time he hugged Furaha to his wimpy little soul. He poked little Furaha gently on her button nose and said, “Aaaawwww, little button. You’re a little cuddly button. You’re also a little teddy bear.” Orko hugged Furaha gently, close to his body. “My soft, sweet, warm teddy bear.” He felt so tired hugging baby Furaha that he fell fast asleep almost instantly, with Furaha falling asleep on top of him.

“Look at Orko - he’s so adorable when he sleeps with our baby daughter.”

“We’d best not disturb him while we do our housework for today. Get out a blanket, Ua, and cover him up snuggly.”

“Yes, sweetheart.”

When Orko awoke that night, Furaha wasn’t crying at all. She was still peacefully asleep on his body, sliding down it just as Orko sat up again. Orko managed to catch her in time, and gave her another soft hug. “There. That’s better,” he yawned as he snuggled down to sleep. Both of them were asleep on the sofa for a whole night, and when they woke up the next morning, Orko may have felt groggy, but still, he loved Furaha more than anyone else in the world.

Hola: A Postcard To Orko

Dear Orko,

Last night I listened to a CD called Latin Dreamland. It made me very emotional, because some of the gentle songs made me think about all the good times I spent with you, and how you gave me a bath every time Ua told you to. You always commented on how smelly I was while washing me, and you staged battles between my rubber duck and my plastic toy boat. That’s one way to entertain a baby. I also remembered when you cradled me in my arms and whispered soft, reassuring words into my little baby ears when I started crying. You’re better than any stork who delivers a baby. You are my caretaker. And best of all…my big brother.

*squeals* Wow! This movie is really exciting, even for my taste! In this fast-paced yet colourful and charming CGI film, Funshine Bear feels he doesn't belong in Care-A-Lot, so he sets off to find a place where people appreciate him. He ends up in Joke-A-Lot, the most awesome place ever, while his friends try to get him back in one piece. With goofy villains and crazy humor, all the people present during the night are sure to be laughing and learning to care with the Care Bears.

Okay, now for the serious stuff. Since this short from Pixar's Sparkshorts has a character with autism, may I please recommend this short to the staff at Autism Initiatives so they can understand the needs and feelings of people of 'my species' who have autism like me.

In Yes Day, we meet a mum and a dad who say no to their kids' requests, but are recommended by the teachers at the school to do a yes day. With enough chores to complete a difficult task list, Yes Day is abound! That means ice cream! Dressing mum and dad up! And lots of dangerous things to do! Don't try this at home, kids!

6.The Little Mermaid: Ariel's Beginning

Before the whole 'Not My Ariel' movement over a race-swapped Ariel, there was Disney's final sequel from 2008 - Ariel's Beginning. In this properly animated film, we see Ariel's father, King Triton, ban music from Atlantica after a pirate ship kills his wife Athena. It's up to Ariel to bring music back to a dull, boring kingdom and liven up the party once again. The songs in the film, mainly sung by Sebastian, are enough to get the whole GM Crew up and dancing!

5.My Little Pony: The Princess Promenade

The whole GM Crew will feel like princes and princesses after seeing this. It's a 2006 My Little Pony film animated using traditional animation, not flash animation like Friendship Is Magic or CGI like Make Your Mark and A New Generation. This film follows Wysteria as she becomes the first princess of Ponyville under the orders of an adorable little dragon called Spike, and now she must choose between helping with the Promenade or ruling over Ponyville. It's a charming story that'll help discover the inner royalty in all of us.

4.Arthur's Missing Pal

Oh my god! Arthur's dog Pal is gone! Since it aired on CBBC a long time ago, this CGI incarnation of everyone's favourite bespectacled aardvark sees him and his friends uncover a sinister scheme that'll separate Arthur from his beloved dog forever. Everyone would love this rarely talked about Arthur film, I just know it!

3.Bratz: Rock Angelz

I knew I was going to put that one on the list, so brace yourselves. This is the Bratz film I got when R won't take me out, and after a few unforgivable feuds I can't mention, I got to watch the film and the results were exciting - the CGI animation is smooth and sleek, the pacing is fast and enjoyable especially for teenage girls and the cutaways are much better than anything I see on Family Guy. Seriously, this and American Dad are V-annoying.

2.A Town Called Panic

This film would be perfect for introducing the GM Crew to the language of French and features Cowboy and Indian trying to make amends with their friend Horse after they accidentally order 500,000 bricks when they should've ordered 50 bricks to build a barbecue. It contains naughty bits like drinking and swearing, but I'm sure everyone would enjoy it...won't they?

1.Toy Story

Ah, a classic from my childhood - the story of how everyone's favourite cowboy met everyone's favourite space ranger and they tried to outwit a plot to get out of a toy-destroying boy's bedroom. Since I watched it as a kid, it has become one of my all time favourite Disney films - beside The Many Adventures Of Winnie The Pooh, Tarzan, The Lion King and Chicken Little of course - and I'm sure the GM Crew would agree over me sharing the film with everyone! But not germs.

10.Chickenhare & The Hamster Of Darkness.

I...I don't know how to describe this film. It's part Tarzan and part Kung Fu Panda. I would prefer to watch Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers over this any day.

9.Kung Fu Panda

Despite the many crazy facial expressions Po the panda pulls during the film, it's still easy to believe that my favourite scene in the film is Tai Lung's backstory, when Shifu raised him and trained him in the art of kung fu, but it's hard to believe this is my least favourite Dreamworks film because it's too similar to The Lion King. Well, both films do have the same music composer!

8.Bigfoot Family

Imagine your dad is really popular with everyone in your town. It's a film about saving the environment, and Adam (not Prince Adam from He Man) is really excited because his father, Bigfoot, is becoming popular, and now he's working to save the wilderness from an evil company intent on destroying nature. There are lots of ways you can help save wildlife and go green too.

7.Without Me, Orko

In this It's A Wonderful Life-style story, Orko is sent to his room after an accident with his magic, and wishes he was never born. It is then that Star Catcher (the pegasus pony from My Little Pony G3) appears in the bedroom and shows him a world without him to protect Furaha and care for him. I bet it would be an emotional rollercoaster, don't you think?

6.Orko In The Mirror

This is a curious vignette about being curious about another you in the mirror. Orko passes by a mirror, but then stops to look at it, feeling how proud and handsome he is. He invites Furaha to look at it, and she is excited to see another Furaha in the mirror! This story reflects the moment your baby encounters a mirror, and thinks of a reflection as a new friend. Maybe Furaha and Orko will be YOUR new friends too!

5.Orko & Optimus: Agnostic

Do you know what being agnostic means? I know what it means: it means doubt about whether you believe in God or not. I learnt it from South Park, from the episode where Kenny gets taken away from his family and placed in a cruel foster home. It would be better if he was put into a family which finally loves him better than his redneck family, but whatever. In this short comic, Orko sees a saying up on the wall of the studios of Mike Young, talking about whether he exists or not. He rewrites it to mention that everyone doesn't know whether He Man exists...for real life?

4.Baby Furaha's Bath

Orko always knows how to make a baby's bathtime so much fun. As you know, from my previous idea, The Nursery In Trolla, he has worked at a nursery before his cruel life in Eternia, so now on Earth he puts his nursery caretaker skills to the test. He always detects whether Furaha's feet and underarms are smelly - something Bandit from Bluey always does when it's bathtime for his kiddos - and always likes to act out battles for domination between Furaha's toy duck and plastic boat. This always entertains Furaha and makes her smile, and after her bath she emerges with sleek, smooth fur from being brushed with soft-bristled brushes.

3.Orko & The Crybaby Cub

This vignette is another slice of the life of baby Furaha and shows how Orko calms his little sister when she cries first thing in the morning. The first thing Orko wakes up to is the sound of Furaha crying, so he takes her in his arms and rocks her gently and comfortably, even when he gives her some milk during breakfast. On the sofa, he continues cuddling and comforting Furaha, because as Ua says, "Orko is the only one who can stop a baby crying...and that includes Furaha."

2.Lonely Orko.

An emotional tearjerker, this piece of storytelling shows Orko and Furaha looking up at the night sky at all the stars. To Orko, Eternia is still there as a star among the millions of stars, but he tells Furaha that here on Eternia he had to grow up and not be free and playful. Furaha reminds him that here on Earth, he can be free to be a kid all day every day, even when he's grown up, because as an adult he was brought to Eternia, and now as an adult he has total responsibility, all while having fun at the same time.

1.Furaha's Rain Song.

This vignette takes place in the rainforest on a heavily rainy day, and focuses on a tender moment between Furaha and Orko as they sit out in the rain sharing a song that came into Furaha's head all of a sudden while she was sleeping, which she calls, 'a gift from the angels'. This story is inspired by the last three songs on Latin Dreamland, and the rainy atmosphere adds to the heartwarming tone of the story. A bond between brother and sister changes everything.

10.The warm, gentle pace.

All of my stories have the power to bring gentleness and softness into a world where there IS NO SOFTNESS, and where every single TV channel is bombarded with noisy programmes for kids and loud, fast paced adverts. I get it, some stories like The World According To Humphrey and The Boy Whose Wishes Came True can be overwhelming, but my stories aren't, especially 'A Brother's Warmth', which is full of gentle charm and lovely slice of life moments.

9.The setting.

There is no king in this world, which is a Thundera-style Cats Lair palace with golden walls where Orko, his nursemaids, his little sister and his uncle live. There's also the meadow, the beach and the blossom orchard, which gives Furaha's love of nature a tone fit for the story. Orko has a love of nature too, and they love to share in their surroundings together, adding to the gentle tone of the story.

8.Its inspiration being the 2011 Thundercats series.

There are a lot of moments in the 2011 Thundercats series which aired on Cartoon Network a long time ago - Lion O using the Sword Of Omens for the first time, Clawdus' death, Tygra being adopted from birth by Lion-O's mother and father, Wileykit and Wileykat's dad being caught up in a twister, separating him from his family...all this terror isn't included in this gentle story, which sees Orko and his family live a peaceful live in this paradise.

7.Uzuri.

Uzuri is Orko's favourite amongst his nursemaid sisters. She was the one who gave birth to Furaha in this universe, and allowed her little brother to comfort and cuddle her, and help bathe her. She also helps with the cooking, cleaning and other household chores, which she does with ease. She is also a good mother to Furaha and sister to Orko, always playing with them when she has the chance.

6.Busara

One of two male characters in the story besides Orko, Busara is Orko's uncle. He has brown fur, reflecting his pride as a diverse lion in the family. Yeah, all families are like that these days - they're called blended families, or mixed families. Take Rudy from Sesame Street for example, when his dad married Abby Cadabby's mum, they had to move in with her family. Well, that's one way to teach kids about blended families! Me, You, And...is about accepting your family no matter what you're born into, and A Brother's Warmth is one of them.

5.The lessons.

Hmmmm....let's see...hmmmmm...there aren't a lot of lessons learned, really, just a glimpse into life according to a royal wizard, WHO DOESN'T LIVE ON ETERNIA ANYMORE!!! Sorry, I needed to feel Orko needs a bit of respect because he came from the 2002 He Man series. Some lessons from the 2002 He Man series, you. Can't. Trust. From the most abusive man in the universe.

4.The colour scheme.

I've chosen yellow for the document I've written two days ago, because it fits well with the royal theme. It's like using white bread and brown bread to condemn how we can get along with each other should we start accepting people of different races...and Disney, you are doing a terrible job.

3.The tranquil tone.

Kids' TV is dominated by the same shows every time due to the streaming era. Peppa Pig, Paw Patrol, Fireman Sam, Henry Danger...all those shows that'll make you want to rip your hair off your head! There's no sign of the tranquillity British TV used to bring to us kids, whether it's stop motion favourites like Noddy or Postman Pat or kooky live action preschool legends like Teletubbies or Tweenies. Luckily, I'm planning to bring that tranquillity back through my stories. Capiche?!

2.Orko

Orko brings a feeling of warmth and tenderness into my stories, and I've been honoring him ever since I first added him into my stories last year. He's the 2002 version, but I honor the 1980's version too. Shame he didn't appear in The New Adventures Of He Man, but in my stories, he gets more attention than he did in the 2002 He Man, which treated him like a punching bag, especially to Man At Arms, who here is voiced by the same guy who did Optimus Prime in the 2000's Transformers series. Darn you, Alexis! And stock footage from Transformers Cybertron too!

1.Furaha

Ah, now the overlord is sure to find Furaha cute and cuddly. Here, Uzuri has given birth to her instead of Ua, and she lives her life full of laughter and happiness, especially with her mum and her brother by her side. That's what this story is about - love and happiness. Near to the end of the story - spoilers - Furaha becomes upset that she may become queen one day and stop being a kid, but Uzuri reassures her that it's okay to be a kid, and yet she can stay with her brother forever.

Aaaaaawwww....
