Furaha, Gatomon and Wizardmon live in a part of the Japanese countryside village of Takayama. Their adventures with their Digimon friends in and out of the village are gentle, sweet and wholesome, as long as they all have each other.

A dark blanket of stars overlooks a tropical beach, which is silent and still in the blackness of the night. Suddenly, a light shines over the horizon. The sun is rising, bringing a shade of blue into the sky and light onto the island. In the distance, seagulls scream out their morning chorus. This is a very special island untouched by man, woman or child - or animal - before. This island belongs to Furaha and her best friend Orko. In the hammock they share together, the two friends sleep soundly, rocked gently by the force of the swinging hammock in the gentle breeze. The sunlight shines down onto the two friends, waking the two of them up. Furaha is the first to wake. She rubs her little lioness eyes and yawns. Orko is next - he opens his little yellow eyes and rubs them, then stretches a big Trollan stretch. Furaha looks in the distance, and sees there’s a lot of her island to explore. Excited, she leads Orko out of the hammock and along the beach.
Somewhere in the countryside, there is a beautiful, yet huge, enormous house that is so big, it could fit an Autobot. And it does. This cosy house, nestled deep within the rolling hills and peaceful forests, is home to three different friends from three different backgrounds - Furaha the lioness cub, Orko the Trollan wizard and Optimus Prime, an Autobot. They are a warm and cosy group of friends who are there for each other no matter what happens - they like to spend all their time at home and around the countryside, playing and sharing in each happy memory together. They are a family of friends - a father, a brother and a sister. They loved each other as much as nature loved them. This story chronicles a day in the life of this group of friends as they run free, exploring the world around them.

“Wow.” said Furaha as she looked out of her bedroom window. “Wow.” She couldn’t stop staring out the window as she looked out at the beautiful sunlit beach. “Wow. “What are you wowing about?” asked Orko as he floated in. “I’ll tell you what I’m wowing about,” said Furaha as she sat on her bed, “Years since 2008.” “That doesn’t make sense,” said Orko. “Yes it does.” “Why?” “Because it’s been years since the historic moment that Barack Obama was elected president of the world!” “Oh, I remember that year, it was the year a DVD of my cruel life came out!” “Forget about that,” said Furaha. “Thanks.” “Now, what would it be like if we were presidents?” “Ooh!” squeaked Orko, “I love the sound of that! Being president of the world! Sounds like a job I’d root for! We’d have to dress smart.” “No, since presidents live in America, and American children wear anything they want to school, we can wear whatever we want.” “But what about the rules and laws?” asked Orko. “Well, Orko, imagine what we could do to make our world a better place…”
It was night time in Wizardmon’s cosy little cottage, and the wise Digimon was happily enjoying the calm and the quiet, with a nice mug of tea and a little peace. That is, until Furaha and Gatomon ran in wearing pirate clothes and slashing wooden swords playfully. “Yaaarrr! You’ll never get my treasure!” laughed Furaha. “Oh yeah? Make me find it!” cried Gatomon. Furaha and Gatomon were having such a ball, pretending to be pirates and jumping on and off furniture. Wizardmon was glad to let them carry on. “Not so noisily now,” he said. Furaha at last leapt off the sofa and pinned Gatomon to the ground playfully. How the two laughed. Wizardmon’s rest was over. “Okay, girls, it’s way past your bedtime. Let’s get you two ready for bed now.” Wizardmon hugged Furaha, then picked her up in his arms and brought her to the bathroom. Gatomon followed.
Rioting ocean waves splashed against the rocks of an empty, stony beach as, in the silence, the land turned blackish grey. There was no life in sight: no trees, flowers, grass, plants or anything. Even the sky was black and grey. On the dry, cracked grounds of the beach stood Furaha, an innocent little lioness cub who her palms pressed against one another, her eyes closed. She was praying in silence, hoping someone would answer her. Suddenly, a voice rang out. “Doctor, we’ve caught hold of her!” “Hold onto her now, don’t let her get away!” cried another voice. Flashes of blurry images filled Furaha’s mind: a cat being strapped down to a table and injected with lethal liquid, then being thrown into a cage, and finally transforming by the light of the moon into Gatomon. Furaha’s eyes shot open, and she was reduced to tears by what filled her mind. She punched her fist onto the ground, and suddenly, she was surrounded by a ring of fire. “I won’t let Gatomon live this life again!” she cried.
