Are We Still Friends?

This email from Jo made me sob, because it made me think that I'll never write stories featuring the residents of Scream Street, and even my best friends Luke, Resus and Cleo ever again...
But I'll be resilient, because making stories about Luke, Resus, Cleo, Bluey and Bingo is my speciality. There's a rule about it from Oxford Owl. You look here:

Lion King Upholstered Stool

I love The Lion King, and making an upholstered stool with pictures of Simba, Nala and various plants on it is a great way to show your love for the film. The person who made this got material from Disney Baby, but it's still really adorable. Shame Timon and Pumbaa aren't part of it, and neither is Zazu. In fact, they look like The Lion King designs on Huggies nappies!

8 Shows To Break Your Kids' Cocomelon Addiction

This picture of Bluey, Bingo and Grandad is from an article I found about shows that can break your child's addiction to Cocomelon. My support worker Sally has a daughter who loves Cocomelon, but as a mother she realises the series doesn't make any sense, so I recommend watching these shows to stop you from singing those earworm-inducing songs. I only included it because Bluey was part of it, but shows like Rolie Polie Olie, Sesame Street and Baby Einstein feature. Give them a watch!

Bluey Friendship Card

With this Bluey friendship card, you can tell the ones you love how much you love them! I love this card because inside it's got an image of Bluey, Winston, Hercules, Honey, Coco and Mackenzie, just like they're portrayed in 'Circus'. Print it out and get creative! And remember, no matter how different friendships are, like Bluey with Jean-Luc and Bingo with Lila, it's important to remember that each friendship is one in a million!

Group Activities - The Dump & Postman

The Dump
Children partake in crafts to learn about the benefits of caring for the planet.
Children write letters to classmates they admire and place them in their own hand-made postbox.

Guess Who...Again...

Guess what popped up on CBBC's Breakfast Bites collection on iPlayer...
Scream Street, of course! But please, don't watch Series 2. Watch Series 1, for goodness sake! I'm so glad it popped up on there, it's for more than just Halloween, you know!

Drawing Activity - No Friends

In the short skit 'No Friends', Dixon learned about getting friends the easy way when he discovered Amy was sitting right next to him on the Buddy Bench. Create this poster to encourage others to be a good friend like Amy was to Dixon.
1.Grab your favourite pencils, pens and markers and a piece of paper.
2.Draw Dixon and Amy sitting on the Buddy Bench together. Remember, Amy is a white husky, so be sure to draw her in the style of the Bluey TV series.
3.Write somewhere on the page, 'Friends offer good advice'.
4.Put it up on your fridge or bedroom wall for everyone to see!

Group Activities - Trampoline & Cafe

Trampoline
Children play a variant of 'musical chairs' involving hula hoops and lots of bouncing!
Children consider how to get more out of less from a small amount of food before making a quenching lemonade recipe.

I.B.F.Fs Friendship Bites - Teach No Homework/Alston's School Years/No Friends/Skulley Gold

Dr. Skulley reveals his tragic past to Luke when he once again refuses to hand in his homework.😿

Alston reveals to Resus that he used to get into trouble with his own art project like his son got into trouble for his own.✏

Dixon feels a little lonely being ignored all morning...until he encounters Amy, who offers him some advice.🪑

A spoof of the Oscar Gold trailer from American Dad gives us a glimpse of Dr. Skulley's tragic childhood, and his dream of becoming an animal rights activist.😭

I.B.F.Fs Story Time - How Do Dinosaurs Say Goodnight?

I always like to read this book at night with my siblings, as we always like to know what dinosaurs get up to when they want to go to sleep...

Group Activities & Cakes

The following is a series of group activities I made for Sally and her group. I'll update you as soon as I get them through to her!
The Claw - Children choose a soft toy with a placecard next to it subjecting a theme to a written story.
Tickle Crabs - Children engage in seaside-themed sensory play before colouring in a picture of Bluey and Bingo at the beach.
Markets - Children make their own market day right here in the learning zone!
Escape - Children write and film their own story with characters from Bluey, Scream Street or Tish Tash.
I.B.F.Fs - A Place To Sleep - Children find out animals' habitats and where they like to sleep.
Blue Mountains - Children consider the uses of our hands in everyday life.
Bus - Children recreate a bus setting before setting up some messy bus process painting.
Yesterday, I finally got to bake cakes! The cakes turned out squishy and chocolatey - just as I prefer it. They're so delicious you just can't stop talking about them, in fact I got to have some extra ones just because I had a rough day two days ago. Cakes make everyone's day!

I.B.F.Fs - A Place To Sleep

Luke, Resus and Cleo's quest for a new place to sleep continues! With the help from me of course.
