Now is my time to appreciate my love for CBBC and CBeebies and all the wonderful shows that have appeared - except for awful ones like Little Big Awesome and Boy Girl Dog Cat Mouse Cheese.
I love Blue Peter. Although it airs once a week, and sometimes doesn't air, I still love its presenters, but I prefer it when Lindsey was accompanied by Barney and Radzi than Richie and Mwaksy. Still, Henry is cute!
I love She-Ra, and Shadow Weaver too since she's sexy, but one thing that bugs me is that it brings back painful memories of the 2002 He-Man series, when strobe effects were used a lot in the show. This is when either a character gets a serious beating or during battle sequences, but hey, I wish She-Ra was forced to murder Swift Wing, with blood trickling everywhere!
I love Danger Mouse, because of its cool gadgets and how poor old Penfold gets into lots of scrapes because his companion DM leads him into danger. I feel sorry for him, though.
I love The Worst Witch, It's one of my favourite dramas on CBBC beside The Dumping Ground and the 4 O'Clock Club. It's different from the other dramas, mainly because it contains special effects for the magic and spells. I think Luella would appreciate that show as much as she appreciates her BFFs Mildred, Maud and Enid!
I love Swashbuckle, although I think when Gemma made an appearance on Justin's House she should've taught the audience the trademark Swashbuckle Salute. Still, Cook and Line's skits made up the whole of the series and I love to see them embark on hilarious misadventures under the order of Captain Captain!
I love Hey Duggee - it's a bright and colourful show, much better than Peppa Pig. Is anyone creeped out by the Squirrels' expressions on their faces when the narrator says "There's still time for one more thing."? They look confused, while Duggee looks happy. Every episode sees a different badge for everything, not just for camping skills and scout orienteering. This is so clever!
I love Bitz & Bob. This clever series is how I see how children imagine their toys - they come alive because of a child's imagination, but then go still again when someone else enters the room. This goes to some of my works, too, like the I.B.F.Fs cartoons and Little Friends: Twinkle Wish Adventure.
I love the Andy series - not just his first series starring his puppet cat companion Kip, but also his great way of showing us how animals live, and how he attempts to interact with the animals and creatures he encounters on his adventures as people - because animals are people too, you know!
I love Numberblocks, but I think Yakka Dee is better.
I love Go Jetters, and every time I listen to the character Tala's voice, I'm reminded of Cleo from Scream Street. I miss her...😢 But luckily I'm including her in I.B.F.Fs, and she'll still be voiced by the same actress, Tala Gouvia, so there's no need to worry.
I love Something Special, especially Mr. Tumble's jolly and clown-like antics. While Justin and his friends embark on adventures based on situations and concepts from a child's life, Mr. Tumble joyfully makes his way through play and tries to help out in disastrous, comedic and hilarious ways that'll make kids laugh out loud. They'll also learn Makaton, which they've been doing since 2005.
I love Postman Pat, especially SDS. Everything Pat does is a marvel to our everyday lives, especially to the lives of the residents of Greendale. I love the songs in the first season of SDS, too, especially the Winter Song which sounds like a Christmas No.1 version of I Just Can't Wait To Be King.
I love Raa Raa The Noisy Lion. In each episode, there's a rhyme which young Raa-Raa and his friends repeat until the cows come home. I wish Kiri & Lou was filled with rhymes and repetition the same way Tumble Leaf was written, then it would be much better.
I love Do You Know, but I haven't seen it yet. If there's time, I'll only see more of it.
I love Bing! My favourite episodes are 'Blocks' and 'Cake' because they provide a quieter, cosier side of preschool life, and when Bing was brought back last November, we were given memories of when Bing was a new thing, along with Andy's Dinosaur Adventures.
I love Love Monster - the way it's designed really stands out. Love Monster sounds kind of funny in the show, but I love all his adventures, especially the times when he waits until night to open his present and when he accidentally became an elder and attempted to work at the Elderberry Pie factory. I'm craving very special days with this red, blue-hearted, pointy-eared brute!
I love Waffle, he's really cute, but not as cute as either Baby Bear or the characters from In The Night Garden!
I love Andy & The Band, I've yet to see that too. Maybe I'll see it tomorrow if there's time....
I HATE Peter Rabbit, and so does my mum. In my opinion, and in the I.B.F.F Diaries films, Peter is depicted as a whiny, bullying, bratty and bossy rabbit who along with his cohorts Benjamin and Lily, bully everyone on CBeebies, throw tantrums when things don't go their way and even bully Tiny and Small most of the time, but luckily the grown ups send them to the CBeebies Naughty Corner for ten minutes until they learn to behave.
I love Justin's House, and despite the mess and mayhem Justin and his friends cause, I still think it's similar to Swashbuckle in some cases.
And this is why I'm making I.B.F.F Diaries, to commemorate to last decade on CBBC and CBeebies: 2013-2018! And also, I need to tell you about why I'm writing this. If I had to pick any favourite show from CBBC from 2007-2012, it would be Arthur, Tracy Beaker and Young Dracula because they're a good combination. Picking shows from 2013-2018 would be quite easy: from CBBC, I would pick Strange Hill High and Scream Street, and from CBeebies I would pick the Clangers. CBBC and CBeebies will forever remain faithful in my heart, and still will be - I still need to avoid BGDCMC and Little Big-I mean, LBA, at any cost. I also need to avoid LBA on Amazon, too.
