Sybil's Good News - Orko's Takeover

Hey there! It’s old Orko with some exciting news! First off, I have taken over from Sybil to do this journal entry now, because she’s all over me recently - and my 2002 incarnation. Second and most importantly, Sybil recently got a job as an editor for her own magazine, Sybil’s Friendship ‘Zine! Oh my god, what an honor! And most exciting of all, I think she got a letter back from the author of Dork Diaries, Rachel Renee Russ-

“SQUEEEEEEEE!”

Ergh. Hmmmmm, she got a letter back from the author of Dork Diaries-

“SQUEEEEEEE!”

Grrrrrr….I SAID SHE GOT A LETTER BACK FROM-

“SQUEEEEEEE!!”

We’ll save it for later then. I don’t know where that author got the word Squee from, but let me tell you, Nikki’s a typical average girl living in a crazy world where girls freak out like anime girls. Speaking of anime, that blonde-haired prat She-Ra is on this list of kids’ shows Sybil told me to tell you about this morning. She-Ra’s a total prat who doesn’t deserve to be on CBBC, but her favourite show Bluey is on there! Let me show you:

https://www.goodhousekeeping.com/life/entertainment/g28087907/best-kids-tv-shows/

Yeah, I know, it’s updated. And I also want to tell you something very important about my friend He-Man: he’s not just a hero of all Eternia, he and his counterpart Prince Adam are like teachers to me, as if I’m a first time learner. Man-At-Arms and Teela are the same, too. Cringer? Well, he’s just a teacher’s pet. And whenever I impart a moral at the end of the episodes I star in, it’s just something He Man taught me. In fact when I told all the ‘80s kids about magic being everywhere, I started crying upon seeing it. I still cry seeing it to this day, and seeing baby animals playing with their carers makes my 2002 self want to cry too. Luckily, he’s got his best friend Furaha to comfort her. Why not take a look at this clip, and see how much of a teacher He Man really is to me, I bet he-

I appeared at the end of the video? WHAT THE HELL?! It was wrong of them to say He Man represents gay rights, but I look up to He Man dearly. While watching the video, Sybil also found something about touching. Fancy that, eh? Me, learning how not to touch someone! Ha-ha-ha! Unfortunately, the only touch I can give out is a gentle touch - stroking, holding and massaging.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7mhfMMvoUfc

I hope this will teach all of the morons out there a lesson or two. Winnie The Pooh did it first, you know! Anyway, I want to talk to you about one of Sybil’s thoughts, which will soon become a story in her Friendship ‘Zine. It’s a really mindful, somehow soothing one. Furaha and my 2002 self are playing on the beach, playing games of chase, rolling about in the sand and splashing in the water - just the sort of thing Sybil would make us do if we’re on the beach. The biggest moment comes when dear little Furaha holds my Mike Young self up with her hind paws, lying on the sand and laughing as you could hear my Gabe Khouth voiced self cry out in joy, “I’m soaring through the sky!” Does this mirror the scene in My Little Pony: A New Generation where Sunny rides on her dad’s back, playing at being a pegasus?

Speaking of, Sybil is having a good time watching my show, but she is also having a good time watching The Croods, which was downloaded for her two days ago. The Croods are just like my 2002 self’s new family, embarking on an adventure of discovery and nature, just like how all prehistoric people do. There’s one scene where the cave boy invites the family to dive into the water, and the dad tries to fight the saber tooth tiger, who can eventually swim. I remember when I almost drowned, but He Man tried to save me. The kind fellow, I should reward him. Now, with the release of a new Weird But True book coming, plus Todd Parr’s The Birthday Book coming up, I would like to share some facts and thoughts about three of the facts from Nat Geo Kids’ Top Tens and one from the Weird But True lemur book. Here we go!

First up is something Sybil knows completely well: gorillas sleep in nests. Imagine that, really: my 2002 self and Furaha snuggling to sleep in a gorilla nest with a kindly gorilla mother and her babies to the tune of ‘Lullaby For Zen’ while under a starry sky. The kind, whispering voice is the gorilla whispering reassuring words to them while cradling them and her baby. If they slept in there on their own, they could claim nature as a cradle for young wizards like my Mike Young self. It makes me sleepy just thinking about the time me and Daimar napped in nature. I miss him so much…

Next up is the fact that gorillas live in troops - families that consist of up to 30 gorillas. Now, try to imagine two versions of this scenario: Sybil’s 6-year-old self is living with her adopted zebra mother Zecora and lots of friends from Scream Street, Bluey and My Little Pony: Luke, Resus, Cleo, Luella, Six, Bluey, Bingo, Twilight Sparkle, Applejack, Fluttershy, Pinkie Pie, Rarity, Rainbow Dash, Spike, Apple Bloom, Sweetie Belle and Scootaloo. On the other hand, Furaha is living in the jungle not just with my 2002 self and her family, but also with other friends too. You already know their names: Jetfire, Bumpy Dog, Circuit, Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Calumon, Minty and Tenderheart Bear. That’s what a true family feels like. And if you don’t feel like watching The Croods or Chimpanzee, go and watch the Walking With Beasts episode ‘Next Of Kin’. It came out way before the 2002 He Man series, and showed a family of apes who walk upright. I can float upright, but I can’t walk.

Next, I just found out that you can take your toy on a holiday, write to it and receive photos from him in another country! Imagine your teddy bear with the Aboriginal people at Uluru, or your He Man action figure with the mountain folk of Nepal, or your My Little Pony doll with the tribal people of Africa. Sybil told me her friend Bingo once had a turn to bring Bob Bilby home from kindy, and she and her family were addicted to technology at the time. They resolved to put down their screens and have a lot of fun - both in the park, and in the city. Once, Bob Bilby visited Scotland! Boy, did he have a life of adventure. And if you haven’t seen Teddy Playgroup yet, well, I think I prefer Bob Bilby a lot better than this fact, wobbly bear.

And finally, Angel Falls at Venezuela is 979 meters! It sure is a big waterfall.

CHEESE: Reckon we’re ready to dive now, Orko?

ORKO: Cheese! Good on you! Only thing is…

CHEESE: Oh boy!

ORKO: A huge rocky cliff with a big waterfall you can dive off.

CHEESE: But look how much bigger!

ORKO: Prepare your stretches, quick!

WHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!
SPLASH!!

CHEESE: Oh-haw-haw-haw…

ORKO: See? I told you I could survive!

MINUTES LATER…

ORKO: Prince Adam, I have something to ask you.

PRINCE ADAM: Sure, Orko, what’s up?

ORKO: (sighs) Well, are you, and Teela, and Man-At-Arms, really my teachers? Because I’ve been reading the Filmation inspired issue of Masters Of The Multiverse, and one of the characters said you were my teacher. Is it true?

PRINCE ADAM: Yes. It’s true.

(Orko and Prince Adam hug.)

So that concludes this week’s edition of Sybil’s Good News. I’m so glad you’d be able to stop by and read! Now if you’ll excuse me, I have a protest to make.

NO NO NO! We’re Mike Young and we hate Orko!

YES YES YES! Give that Orko some respect!

NO!

YES….

3 Months Of Bluey - Relax - Part 5

Hi everyone, Coco Cucumber here with another update on Sybil's life. You see, Sybil's hairdresser informed me that she enjoyed having her hair done today, and she found out there was not just pawprints on the gown for kids, but dogs, including one which she called Fatty. That's fat-shaming, isn't it? Anyhow, I never fat shame people, because I'm a cousin of Fluttershy she taught me not to fat-shame other ponies. Sybil had a wonderful time at her support worker's house before this whole shebang happened: she ate a hearty breakfast of sausage rolls and cookies, and had crackers because Wensleydale tastes too dry to her. She tried to reassure her support worker's black and white cat Princess, who meowed a lot because she wanted to know if they loved her. They kept responding "Yes, we love you." And that's so sweet!

Later, it was hairdressing time and Sybil was enthralled to be there once again. The smell of aloe and cucumber was too much for her to resist as she had her hair done, and while she was having it washed, cut and dried, she talked to her hairdresser about lots of things, for example how she hasn't got any of my friends. Twilight Sparkle, Applejack, Fluttershy, Pinkie Pie, Rarity and everyone. She also talked about her He Man addiction, and the hairdresser revealed she had a brother who loved the original series, which Sybil watches on Prime Video. She even talked about what Orko did which viewers can point out, such as the O on his gown falling off and his mirror image putting it back on for him, and Orko conjuring a butterfly at the beginning of the time when he summoned Daimar the demon. It was really adorable when they went for a nap out in the wild. She told her hairdresser that Orko may be annoying, but to her he's her favourite character because he's funny, cute, just right and she treats him just like he's a brother. She even talked about how he got accepted into Furaha's family at the end of Me, You, And He Man, and also her Friendship House stories. Her birthday was also on the subject, with all the presents including the He Man Mad Libs on the list. She had two chocolates while her hair was done, but the blue one tasted of honey and coconuts. Eeeurgh, gross! Save it for natural shampoo. She even asked if she had My Little Pony or Disney Princess shampoo aimed for the little ones who come to her salon, and she had to think about it. She asked her if she wanted tea, coffee or water, and she responded: hot chocolate.

Time skip to a few moments later, and...
PRRRRRPPPHHH! Eeeewwww! This hot chocolate tastes cold and disgusting! No wonder it was around for four hours!

Now that's what I call relaxing.

3 Months Of Bluey Special - Birthday Time!

Hey! Guess what day it is?
BLUEY: Tuesday?
Nah.
BINGO: Friday?
Close...
FURAHA: Your birthday?
Oui oui oui! It's my birthday today! And guess what? It proved to be the most drunken morning ever. I started my morning with a bit of Beep & Mort with a hearty breakfast of sausage rolls added in for good measure. Then it was present time and I started unwrapping to reveal a scrapbook and some Africa-themed content such as stickers. Then my support worker came by on the way to school to give me a beautiful present - a notebook with pussies on! I bet when Alex Clarke was making it, he wanted to write this: "Pussy is a wussy and a big fat furry dussy!" But he wouldn't do that because it would make fun of people who are addicted to cats. Also, that's fat-shaming.
BANDIT: Oi! Not again!
I'm about to have my cake in one hour, but I had a slew of ideas on my birthday, such as the whole 2002 He Man series being a dream of a magic-less Orko, and both my ideas under one roof in an apartment in Brisbane, named 'Friendship House'. I'm watching Life In Pieces, and it brought back memories when I saw the 'Bounce House' segment and the girls were watching Alien. God, you should never show your kids stuff like this, it's too disturbing. I'm starting to like Life In Pieces, it's like Bluey for adults and delivers relatable lessons in parenting.

In celebration of my birthday, I might as well show you the montages from Toonami's 10th birthday long ago.

3 Months Of Bluey - Relax - Part 4

One more day 'til my birthday! And even though my mind is slowly going off He Man, I think Orko's still a great addition to Furaha's animal family. In fact, my mum has told me that they are like a typical cartoon duo of a calm, concentrated figure like Danger Mouse and a panicky sidekick like Penfold. I'm watching Dreamflight right now, and it has a soothing voice and traditional Indian-Arabian music.

Speaking of Arabia, I would like to inform you that I did half a storyboard for the Me, You, And... and Dreamworks Spirit crossover story 'Spirit & Me', which is based on the first few minutes of The Young Black Stallion. You know the bit, the bit where the young girl and the stallion wander through the desert on their own. Young Spirit and his mother Esperenza are wandering through the plains of Arabia exploring what there is to see, when Esperenza is brutally murdered by poachers. This didn't happen in the original film, but Spirit is forced to run for it. It goes to Furaha and Orko waking up alone in the desert, getting used to their surroundings with love and guidance from each other and frightfully encountering the carcass of Esperenza. Furaha later senses water, and they run to it in a canyon, but they run into Spirit, who came to the water first. They chase after him, and it results in our two heroes falling off a cliff and Furaha breaking her leg. Luckily, Orko uses some bandages, planks of wood and crutches he has in his sleeve (remember when he produced a bouncy ball and a vault out of his sleeve in the He Man episode The Last Stand?) to care for Furaha. Furaha later learns from Lord Mufasa that killing Spirit isn't the right thing to do, and later the next morning, the two follow Spirit to a small river blocked by water, and Orko uses his magic to make the blocked ravine explode. While everyone is enjoying water, Furaha states that she and Orko are the only ones who can guide Spirit back to his mother.
THEN WHAT HAPPENS?!
The storyboard will continue, I promise.

Then there's my ice story. In the story, Furaha and Orko end up in the Arctic, where Orko puts on his Winter warmers using what's inside his sleeve, and Furaha leads him across the Arctic, hoping to find a way out. However, this all turns to fun and games as the two young friends zoom down a snowy hill, have a snowball fight and make snow angels. Later, they encounter an ice cave and decide to explore it paw-in-hand, using a river to guide them. Suddenly, they become trapped in the centre of the cave and Furaha bursts into an angry fit, but Orko calms her down, and they huddle next to each other. Minutes pass, and just as they are about to freeze to death, Furaha notices a shaft of light in the ceiling of the cave, and she and her friend use their combined magic to make the hole larger. They whoosh up to the exit, only to discover they're on the top of an iceberg. To pass the time while they wait for an ice floe to float by, Furaha tells Orko the story of how whales learned to swim. It becomes night when an ice floe finally passes, and the two jump on, with Furaha crying softly and happily. The two settle down to sleep, with Orko producing a warm blanket to cover them, as Furaha sings a sweet lullaby under the Northern Lights.

😭This is making me cry too, but I'm not crying right now. I'm excited because my birthday is coming up tomorrow! There'll be four presents and a cake, because I'm happy with what I have, and, I'm going to get some birthday money! Heh-hey! I'll spend it on whatever I like on Amazon, and when I do, I'll be the first to inform you!
And remember, you don't want to be a horse in the Arabian desert. It's a life or death situation out there. Someone could get hurt.

3 Months Of Bluey - Relax - Part 3

I can't believe it. My latest trip didn't go too well, and it wasn't my support worker's fault. I had a screaming fit because my music wouldn't play, but you know what? The surprise twist is that my MP3 player is the one to blame because it won't let you use it anywhere. Now, my support worker is evil. He's joined forces with the evilest ponies on earth, Starlight Glimmer and Sunburst, to take control of Key and let my support workers get me to do what they want to do.

STOP THE REVOLUTION.

The Almighty NCircle!

This is Wibbly Pig, star of American children's home entertainment company NCircle. On the other hand, it's Wiggle time! On the other other hand, I wonder if NCircle would distribute the TV series and films I'll soon produce? They've produced gentle things in the past, like Guess How Much I Love You and The Snowman, but will they do it today? You sure as hell bet they will, right, Wibbly?

3 Months Of Bluey - Relax - Part 2

It's almost three more days to my birthday, and one day since the signal incident. I'm still wondering what the Brora surprise might be. For now, my teacher is travelling the globe looking for the best people who'll give me advice on how to keep the characters I love in my stories forever more.

Asking questions.

Fighting evil.

Asking all the experts.

The moment I woke up from my nap from being up early at 3 in the morning, yes, 3, I was determined to find out what my teacher's surprise would be. And oh crack, my mum just won't tell me. It's like in a TV drama, when you found out what the man wanted to say to the woman, or what the secret holds to some legendary artefact, but then your parents shut the TV off and say, "Aren't you too young for these things?!" Speaking of, I found out that parents have confessed that their kids throw tantrums when it comes to Cocomelon, but they let their kids watch other shows instead. Y'know, Bluey, Sesame Street, Daniel Tiger, etc.. Here, have a look:

This is what I'm talking about. Both Kiyii and Little Baby Bum have fast frame changes at around 2-3 seconds, so it's no wonder I found them overstimulating. This is why I plan to make TV shows that don't have a fast-paced animation style and just return them to the roots of what we had when I was very young, y'know, Kipper, Teletubbies, Noddy, Fireman Sam, etc.. When I say that, I meant other animation styles apart from CGi - traditional hand drawn animation, stop motion, etc.. Is it me or did I put too many ETCs on there?

So, to all those companies who decided to entirely make their preschool shows CGI instead of styles like hand drawn or stop motion....WHY DO THAT?! WHY?! WHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY?!

3 Months Of Bluey - Relax - Part 1

FURAHA: Wow, mama! That was the most crazy experience of my life. That siren was really loud, wasn't it?
UA: Yes, little ones, but don't get too scared about it, because humans have experienced it all over the UK.
ORKO: Uh oh, I'm starting to get a bad feeling about it.
UA: Well, now that the siren thing is over, you two can go and relax.
ORKO: Aaaaaaaaahhhh...relax...my favourite word.
FURAHA: Relax? Hmmmmmmm...I wonder what we can do during that time?

(In a flower field...)
Furaha and Orko are rolling about among the flowers, smelling their fresh scents.
FURAHA/ORKO: Mmmmmmmmmm...mmmmmmmmm....ooooohhh.

(Near a honey tree...)
Furaha takes some honey from the tree's hole. She tastes it...mmmmmm, it tastes really yummy.
FURAHA: Mmmmmmmmmmm. Here, Orko, you try!
Orko tries to dip his hand into the honey hole, but BING! A bee stings him on the hand.
ORKO: Ow!
FURAHA: (giggles)
Orko tries again, and there's lovely, lucious honey on his hands. He tries some.
ORKO: Mmmmmmmmmmm...
FURAHA/ORKO: Mmmmmmmmm....mmmmmmmmmmm....oh, wow.....

While these two are at it, I'm glad to say I survived the whole siren test thingy. If you get a sudden jumpscare surprise, don't be afraid. According to the news, you mustn't be afraid. You'll probably never hear it again in your lifetime!
And because of the Bluey episode Relax, things are about to get really sensual...mmmmmmmmmm.....aaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhh.....

3 Months Of Bluey - Exercise - Part 6

For the BBC, Hairy Jeremy was an insight into a caveman's relaxed life. Now, with another Bluey episode coming up this Sunday, I would like to introduce a sneak preview of one of my ideas, starring Furaha and Orko.
It is a hot Summer afternoon in the African jungle, and Orko is fast asleep in the warm sunshine.
ORKO: Mmmmmmmmm....aaaaaaaaaahhhhh.....
FURAHA: Orko! Hey, Orks, wake up, let's play hide and seek!
ORKO: Wha? Oooh....
FURAHA: Right, that's it, time to take drastic precautions. Here comes the tickle beast! Tickle tickle tickle tickle tickle!
ORKO: Oh sweet Lord Mufasa! Well, would you believe it, Furaha's been such a tickly little girl, wanting me to play hide and seek. Maybe later.
FURAHA: Hey! Wait! Come back here! Ggrrrrrrrrrrr...REVENGE!
(Cut to black)

Don't worry, everything will turn out fine.
Yo next time...
We eat Relax. Aaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhh.....

Told Ya!

I've finally found that the UK has a way to save people from the flashing images of He-Man. They had put up a warning before every episode on their Up On The Roof strand, so as not to send anyone to the hospital due to epileptic seizures.
"Wheeeeeeeeee!! Yeah-heh-heh, yeah! Woo! Wheeeeeeeeeee!! Yeah-heh-heh! Hey! Look at me!"
Don't mind this noise, it's just Furaha and Orko playing together. It's my idea!

3 Months Of Bluey - Exercise - Part 6

SIX: Hey, that's my name!
Pool's out, hiccups in! Due to a group of screaming kids that were in the pool, the pool was out! But! There is a ray of hope. Inspired by the hiccups I got from eating my sausage rolls too quickly, I decided to make up a story to tell to these children, inspired by the Bluey episode 'Fairytale'. The story was about Crackers, his little brother Cheese and their friend Orko (the 1980's one, not the 2002 one) helping Cringer with his hiccups, just like how Maisy helped Cyril with his hiccups when he came round to Maisy's house for lunch. I know you remember recalling joining in the actions with Maisy and Cyril to help him cure his hiccups, but I remember it too - was that ham Maisy put in the sandwiches? Kipper and Maisy's episodes about hiccups are very similar - wheras Kipper tries to get help from his friends to find some hiccup cures, the narrator helps Maisy and Cyril do some fit, active things to make Cyril's hiccups go away. Well, it IS a Nick Jr show, and Nick Jr always encourages everyone to join in!
DICK: Do we look like jokes to you?
ME: Oh! Dick and Dom! What are you doing here?
DOM: You'd best avoid Diddy TV now that CBBC's been sold to America. It should say 'Kids Watching At Home Can Join In Too'! Prrrrfff! You and your Nick Jr nonsense. No wonder you were raised by cartoon characters.
ME: That's my job.

3 Months Of Bluey - Exercise - Part 5

TOM: Sara Sara Sara...remember He Man?
SARA: He Man? That sure rings a bell. What do you mean?
TOM: The one with the little wizard guy named Orko.
SARA: Oh!
TOM: Well, I also remember when people sent fan-art of Goku and the whole gang to Toonami, so, I'm glad Sybil has sent us this fanfic of a former Toonami show for us to sing along with together.
SARA: But the last time you sang, you developed a stereotypical Italian acce-
TOM: THAT'S SHARK WEEK, YOU DUMB LITTLE FAIRY!
SARA: Okay, okay, Tom, don't be too hard on me.
TOM: Right, so, what are you waiting for? Let's read - and listen to World Lounge 2.
SARA: World Lounge 2? What does that-
(8 minutes later...)
TOM: *sobbing and crying*
SARA: What are you crying for, Tom? I didn't. It was such a beautiful fanfic,
TOM: I know, Sara, but...*sniffs*...this fanfic makes me want to leave Adult Swim and stay on Cartoon Network forever.
SARA: You're right, Tom, but with Teen Titans Go airing on the network all the time, I think you must stay on Adult Swim. The age of action shows for kids is over.
TOM: OVER?!
SARA: Now look, Tom, I can explain...
TOM: But Toonami was never meant for Adult Swim!
SARA: Believe me, Tom, I-
TOM: I want the old, British-accented Sara back!
SARA: TOM! I've never heard such an insult!
(Tom runs away)
SARA: Wait! Tom! Where are you going?! STOP! WAIT! TOM! Urgh...for God's sake.
